“Tree of Life” in New Orleans. At nearly 500 years old, I was excited to be able to photograph this tree this week while visiting New Orleans. As Easter represents a new life, an eternal life, I wanted to post this on Easter Sunday. Happy Easter!!!

In March I had an opportunity to visit my sister in Victoria, Texas. While visiting we toured many areas where I was able to get a photo shoot in. On this day we stayed in Victoria and traveled to the outskirts where this lazy river was flowing. Right on that river bank was a bar and grill where we relaxed with a Martini and shrimp. Such a nice view from their outdoor deck! Some of the views are abstract with many reflections. I will be uploading each place separately as I get them ready to view. I photograph this at the water lily nursery,

it is part of the garden next to his home, an old home that belong to the great grandfather, this place is family owned for 4 generations.

I never knew was empty and then wrapped it around her little finger…..

I did a bit of research, but couldn't find a good match for this tree moss. I'm a lazy researcher.

and I literally did.....just needed the right spot which happened to be just past the waters edge! Very nearly titled 'Get Lost' as 'H' and I were trying to find this on our own.....

After leaning on this tree trunk to take some pictures of the lake, I decided to make it the subject in this picture. :)

The light in these snow coated trees caught my eye on a recent walk. Now, sadly, the snow is melting!

Posted for Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday --- Have a good one everyone :))

I was struck by the way the wall encased a tree trunk even though its purpose was to keep the wild woodland beyond contained.

Quercus macrocarpa, Mossy-Cup Oak, Fagaceae

This trunk of a locust tree in Kew Gardens appears to be growing fungus in a crevice on its trunk. From the 2019 archive.

Happy Tree Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by and for all of your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Few birds are happier in the company of man than the house sparrow, and for much of the year it is rare to find them far from human habitations.

My own texture

Not one, not two, but three deer! The fawn and two does were pausing for a moment in front of my window.
