A grove of trees near La Jolla, California with trunks that look like camouflage

just trying out the close focus on the Distagon 18mm. Th distance is simply my arm - from the elbow to the hand. I have a couple of cameras where here is a piece of gaffers tape around the strap that will give me 0,5m - but not on the Bessa R4M (or the tape had fallen off).

Outside of War Memorial Hall at the University of Guelph.

This tree is held together by big bolts - so far so good, but I suspect its life span is limited. Too bad as it is a great sharpness tester.

There is no shortage of weird shaped trees at the university including this one on the front campus.

Interesting tree my wife and I spotted at Luther Britt Park on Saturday.

meanwhile, this is moss growing on the bark of a birch tree. I've never seen anything like this, either.
