Coolest trees on the way down from Mt. Takao. They were really, really tall.

Probably one on the most photographed tree in North Wales, Llyn Padarn, so maybe not the lone tree after all.

This little one was fluffed up trying to keep out the cold on a blustery day.

According to the RSPB tree Sparrows were in serious decline by about 93% between 1970-2008. However, a recent survey has shown a slight increase in numbers.

Cycling along Gleann an t-Slugain the sun is very low this time of year, and barely makes it above the hills either side of the Glen, making wonderful silhouettes of the trees lining its ridge.
