This was taken years ago, but remains one of the most incredible sunsets that I have ever seen. The entire sky was like a fiery marble globe. The photos can't even do it justice!
A brilliant sunset in the park! The color in the clouds lingered for a long time....well after sunset. So thankful I got to be there for it!
Probably the most photographed tree in NZ. While we were there we were continually dodging photographers from all over the world. There have been some wonderful interpretations of this tree from our Focus friends. Olga
A brief foray in to the murky world of IR; 5D Mk II with Hoya 72 filter attached and then processed in Elements. The original RAW file also comes out a lovely ruby red. This spot might have a proper name but I felt the title suited the mood of the place. Copse and robbers anyone?!

Taken half an hour before sunset. The yellow colour of the leaves is made even more golden by the setting sun. In one week this tree will be bare.
Just for those of you who found the last shot a little spooky. :)
My son noticed this tree... That is orange sap turned red leaking from its eyes . I have never seen an aspen drip like this. I thought the sap was thicker and clumped up more.
