Protected Area: The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is a protected area high in the White Mountains in Inyo County in eastern California. The Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva) trees grow between 9,800 and 11,000 feet (3,000–3,400 m) above sea level, in xeric alpine conditions, protected within the Inyo National Forest.Foxtail Pine (Pinus balfouriana) also grow in the forest. The Methuselah Grove in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is the location of the "Methuselah", a Great Basin bristlecone pine that is 4,849 years old.[5] For many years, it was considered the world's oldest known living non-clonal organism, until superseded by the discovery in 2013 of another bristlecone pine in the same area with an age of 5,067 years (germination in 3051 BC). "

Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This image was photographed with a Pentax ZX-50 film camera. The negative was scanned with an Epson Perfection V600 photo scanner.
The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lit up for the season with skaters enjoying the ice rink! Starting with the first tree in 1931 when construction workers brought in 20 ft Balsam Fir tree on Christmas Eve at the (then) construction site of 30 Rockefeller Center. Today the tree's height measure 7 to 8 stories tall and has become a world famous seasonal attraction for both old and young! Did you know the tallest Christmas tree was erected in 1999 and topped out at 100 ft tall?

Centre panel is a small music clear stamp by Fynmark ( an Australian company) It is 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. The trees are a Hero Arts set called Small Holiday Trees from a couple of years ago. I added some Stickles to the trees and then because I thought it looked unfinished, added some red gems after I had photographed it.... didn't get time to re-photograph as it had to get into the post ASAP.

Ava, in last year's nutcracker Christmas jammies. Both kids' jammies from last year were looking borderline too small this year. Not ideal for photos of them reaching up high...
The community gathered on Tuesday night for the annual lighting, which was preceded by spirited caroling by the senior girls and the popular reading of the Naughty and Nice list by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
