The first thing about this tree house that caught my eye, was the color. Then when I got out of our truck to capture a few images - I wondered how you would get to the front door if you were say . . . a pizza delivery guy. I discovered this unique home north of Tok Alaska. Someone with a good chainsaw, could upset their cozy home on stilts in about two minutes flat. Think I'd rather have my cabin safely on the ground.

Tree Houses had always something magical for me. (I was actually reading a book called "The magic tree house" in my childhood.)
The symbiosis of the home and the nature has something very idyllic and charming. I wanted to reflect this peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of security in tree houses in my build. Also I had the chance to try my hands on a bigger tree and the challenge to build it sturdy enough so it holds the home.
I'm glad Oscar uploaded his amazing roof technique a few weeks ago, so I was able to steal it. Please give HIM the honor for that technique!

The epic battle..... This guy was hauling ass on the freeway and weaving in and out of lanes.... not too safe yo.
Taken on a 35mm film camera,
My canon AE1-P on colour film, edited to b&w in aperture 3.
Notice the boldness of the b&w at the bottom and how you go up the picture it fades to more of a grey?
I kind of like this, what you think?
ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you
performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All of them. The live ones put up too much of a fight.
The tree is growing through the building.

Tree House in Celje city forest, Slovenia. Made of local wood and with modern design it represents a perfect symbiosis of man and nature. Events such as workshops, concerts, poetry evenings are often held at this place.

The last Brazilian president, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, used to live in this house as a kid. His 8 years of government (particularly the last 4) were marked by widespread claims of corruption among his own party and his political allies. Investigations made into allegations were "closed away in drawers" (engavetadas) by the Procurator General, Geraldo Brindeiro, so often that he gained the nickname Engavetador Geral da República ("Filer-Away General of the Republic"). Public companies were sold off for one third of their initially announced values. However, by sweeping everything under the carpet, Fernando Henrique was able to present a clean face to the outside world.
Meanwhile, like the portrait of Dorian Gray, his childhood home slowly decayed....
Best seen 'On Black ad there are some interesting details in the large and original sizes....

It's called a tree house, but I disagree with that statement. It's more like a house that swallowed a tree. And a Church. And quite possibly the all the builder's free time for the last 30+ years.
