"Why do we pity people who cannot travel? Because by not being able to expand outwardly, they are also unable to expand inwardly, they cannot multiply, and so they are deprived of the possibility of making far-reaching excursions into themselves and discovering who and what else they could also have become." Pascal Mercer, Night Train to Lisbon

Took this shot on the town moor in June of 2019 but really this shot could have been taken at any time in the last 100 years. If you ever visit Newcastle in June see if the hoppings, as we call the fair, are on. It's one of the best travelling fairs you will ever see and one of the biggest.
In the emptyness of 80° N the fulmar is totally at home. This one kept following the ship for some distance.
Whilst walking the GR 5 between Spa and Stavelot I was unexpectedly greeted by two really friendly and incredibly beautiful dogs in a meadow!
At We’re Here! our theme today is Vintage Luggage. I have no such thing readily available, so I created a collage this morning, combining my photographs from several museums.
