This macro image is of an Oak Leaf and was captured in a small creek in the Fall. The leaf was just under the surface of the water. The little air bubbles are along for the ride.
This was captured with an old Nikon Manual Focus 55mm Macro Lens.
I used a Circular Polarizer to clean up the clarity in the water.

The traveler on a sailboat connects the boom to the mainsheet. I can be adjusted to provide various trim positions to best take advantage of wind angle and speed. This closeup shows the starboard tackle and cam cleat (holds the line in the desired position). For Macro Mondays theme "Summer Olympic Sports", in this case sailing. Also for 2016: one photo each day (225/366)

The new colourful pillars outside of the central station in The Hague caught my attention. Wanted to include people to create a focal point, but in a blurry manner. I went for the correct exposure of the pillars because I liked how the overexposed part let the travelers stand out more.
