Sunset seascape image taken in the surfing town of Huanchaco in the North of Peru.
A densely layered view of residential buildings in Cusco, Peru, taken from a viewpoint overlooking the city. The repeating shapes, vibrant colors, and textured brick façades create a rhythmic, almost abstract urban landscape. A visual celebration of the city’s geometry, color, and hillside charm.
A cluster of colorful fishing boats docked at Puerto Paracas, near the Ballestas Islands in Peru. This busy port supports the region’s strong fishing tradition.
The city center of Arequipa, Peru is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city center is composed of baroque buildings derived from white volcanic sillar stone, giving Arequipa the nickname 'Ciudad Blanca' (White City). To add to the mystique of the city, it is surrounded by three impressive volcanoes (El Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu).
I made this photograph from a rooftop bar of the Plaza de Armas with the twin towers of the city cathedral and the mountain range rising in the background, while enjoying a refreshing Pisco Sour.
Happy New Year!

One evening I captured a magical sunset from a very narrow bridge during rush hour with the ethereal El Misti volcano rising in the background.

I had already taken some great night shots from around the historical center (Plaza de Armas) and spent one afternoon scouting new locations. While on my way to explore a new neighborhood, I crossed over a bridge, (Puente Grau), and looked back to see this spectacular view. I knew it would make for a great twilight shot so I returned later that day with my tripod. The Rio Chili and the amazing sunset were an added benefit!

Lima, the capital of Peru, lies on the country's arid Pacific coast. Though its colonial center is preserved, it's a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. It's home to the Museo Larco collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th-century cathedral are the heart of old Lima Centro.
