wo friends, two helmets, one fleeting moment at the edge of a Roman afternoon. caught between laughter and mischief, they freeze time with a kiss to the lens — the street behind them blurred, the road ahead unknown. the city, like their expressions, is both playful and timeless.
Bought myself a new lens, I was looking for a travel friendly, affordable, compact and large aperture zoom lens ... my pick: Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 APO EX DC II HSM
This is my first test shot, of course SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera), of a female Muscovy Duck (Cairina moschata). This large duck is native to Mexico and Central and South America but kept in the Netherlands as show ducks.

I did not finish posting photos from our trip to China, just over a year ago...... I'll try to finish this in the next while...feel free to ignore them if you just want to see things that are up-to-date !
Our three week trip was extremely reasonable in price.... we were in a group of 40 people, in two buses. traveliing together...to five star hotels ( not something we can afford at home ! )...Meals were often in elaborate restaurants as this one in Chongqing...where I enjoyed seeing the decor...and the overstuffed furniture in the lobby area. ( I did not shoot any of the food in this place...but I am sure it was good )
As we left, I took a picture of one of the many street food stalls...where we never managed to sample the food, sad to say....no time... and we were not often hungry when that might have been an option....etc ....but often the street food was very tempting.
