There are many beautiful hotels throughout Cannes, but one of the most famous and impressive is the InterContinental Carlton Hotel along Rue La Croisette Boulevard. It was built in the 20th century during the Belle Epoque architectural period and even if you don’t stay there, it still is a wonderful place to visit to view the beautiful architecture.

Mairie de Cannes is Cannes Town Hall built in 1877 so it showcases 19th century architecture. It is located right in front of the port so while you are visiting the port you can also visit the Town Hall. It is a very busy building as local French residents will come to take care of business and register everything required by the city.

Chinese Garden - Gardens by the Bay

CAM Raleigh is relatively new and was built in the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh. It is the Contemporary Art Museum and it opened to the public in the Spring of 2011. The museum has about 20,000 square feet for their 3 galleries and dedicated educational spaces. Currently, you can view the mural "End Racism Now" painted in yellow, just outside the Contemporary Art Museum along W Martin Street.

Looking up from the beautiful Arabic barrio called the Albaicín, you can see the majestic walls of the Alhambra! A palace and fortress complex located in Granada, Spain. The fortress has the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background! This is just one of the many treasures of Andalusia and the south of Spain! It was originally constructed as a small fortress in AD 889 on the remains of Roman fortifications!

La Croisette Boulevard is one of the many iconic streets in France. It stretches around the bay and is the place to be seen. This palm lined boulevard is the first stop for many tourists in Cannes. Beautiful snow Covered farm in Lichfield- England

Notre-Dame D’Espérance was built on the summit of Le Suquet so it has wonderful views of the city, port and bay of Cannes below. The church was built in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries with a Gothic style. The church also has a clock tower that you can always look to if you lose track of time while strolling the streets of the old town.
