Moved into a nice 3/2 around the block, but an indifferent landlord - hauling other's trash leaves me peeved.
Can't wait to sell our house - been on the market over two years. May have to become a landlord myself - a distasteful prospect...

One of the behaviors of the Lesser Prairie Chicken lekking ritual involves two males going face to face, crouching low and vocalizing like crazy. Occasionally, this evolves into an all out battle. But most of the time, after a few seconds of this, they just stand up, turn around and walk away. Then, after several minutes of displaying and prancing around the little patch of turf they've claimed as their territory, they come back together for some more trash talking. All of this occurs repeatedly for about two hours every morning, annually, for several weeks during spring.
Thanks to the Kansas Nature Conservancy for allowing us to view this Lesser Prairie Chicken Lek on their property.
CSX Q43907 glides into Acca Yard with two GEVOs and a cut of trash on the had end. The 5336 is no stranger as it was spotted on a rack train in Texas a month prior, and perhaps it has been seen running around on the Florida Business unit.

On my daily walks I pick up bottles and cans that can be returned or recycled. This is a collection of interesting bottles that I have found in the past several weeks.

I made these Trash Monsters for the city of Antwerp, Belgium. It was printed in large format to decorate garbage cans all over the city to urge people to use them more.
included are a tree monster, Arabian black lagoon monster, zombie dog general, skeleton sailor lady, jelly pudding monster, mister cyclops, 3D vampire lady, acid melty cowboy and firemonster.
Non sono palrole mie ma le condivido "la fotografia non vuole dimostrare ma mostrare", e questo é quello che ho trovato alla plaia di Catania e che tutti sappiamo si possa trovare nel periodo di bassa stagione, poi tutto in estate sara interrato od in parte rimosso. Plastica, plastica ed ancora plastica, non c'è molto altro da aggiungere anche perchè altrimenti tradirei ciò che ho appena virgolettato. Ognuno di noi saprà trarne una conclusione o un qualcosa di simile. Io suppongo che la stragrande maggioranza di spiagge d'Italia ma anche del resto del mondo si proponga in tale maniera e come é che si trovi li e chi sia mai stato a produrre tutto questo materiale sintetico anche un bambino può capirlo.

Esta fotografía la he presentado al concurso del domingo digital que se celebró el pasado Domingo en Donosti.
El tema general era qué enseñarías de tu ciudad a europa, y luego había 4 sub temas. Esta fotografía la he presentado para el tema "¿Qué cambiarías de tu ciudad?".
Creo que el tema de las basuras y todo eso es algo a mejorar en Donosti y espero que así lo vean los del concurso.
En cualquier caso... esperanzas más bien pocas pues siempre creo que acaban ganando las mismas personas este tipo de concuros y el mismo tipo de fotos. Pero bueno, como yo suelo decir, si a mi me gusta el resto mes igual.
La foto está sacada poniendo el papel que nos dieron con los temas en el suelo y la cámara encim ade él (había llovido) con el gran angular. Luego con el mando a distancia alejado unos 2 metros para que no apareciera mi careto en la foto jeje.

Active Assignment Weekly: Something You Dislike
I was walking through the park this morning, looking for things I dislike, and I saw this waste receptacle with large bags of trash. I picked up one of the bags and turned it over. Then I took shots of the bottom of the bag. I absolutely dislike waste. I think Americans, especially, waste so much plastic and other products (food is a big one). Anyway, there was a lot of plastic in this trash bag, and it should really be in a recycle bin; however, I've been reading that most of what we recycle isn't even recycled. It's just something I've been conscientious about for awhile now, and I guess I can only do my small part. In pp, I enhanced the colors a bit for effect and increased contrast a tad.
