"Business should be finding profitable solutions to the problems facing people and the planet, not making a profit by creating problems."

Colin Mayer CBE, Oxford Professor

Apparently March is B-Corp month - so I had to look it up...

Rather than being driven solely by profits, every B Corp has a vision that's grounded in moral and social good. Certified B Corp status is awarded to those businesses that meet very high standards in social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

Went to visit my Common Loon pair this morning to rekindle our friendship. The moment we locked eyes I knew they recognized me from the previous years. The Loon either likes you or it doesn't, It's that simple and very transparent. They were quite calm and relaxed with me. I usually place my kayak in their territory and wait. Within minutes they pop up like Jack-in-the-box. I wished them a successful job raising their young this year and was on my way. This time they came up real close to my kayak for their portrait. I wonder if people were more transparent would we like it as much. Probably not, I notice people rarely want to hear the truth they much rather be pacified with little white lies....or half truths. I bite my tongue a lot. So much so the Natives would probably call me "Sore tongue". lol The "Truth Seeker" has his work cut out for him that's for sure.

#Truth - someone asked me to come back in my mail box today so here I am ;-)

Another long exposure shot from the Waterfall serie.

I am glad I’ve been able to capture the movement of the water. I particularly like how the flow of water is drawing lines on the surface. The monochrome approach is strengthening the contrasts and isolating the waterfall as I wanted. It was difficult to move closer as the spray from the waterfall was covering the filter with micro water drops.

Transparency, as used in business, the humanities and in other social contexts, implies openness, communication, and accountability. Transparency is operating in such a way that it is easy for others to see what actions are performed. It has been defined simply as "the perceived quality of intentionally shared information from a sender"

Lyon-Saint-Exupéry TGV station, formerly Satolas-TGV, is a TGV train station located 20 km from Lyon, in the Rhône department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It serves Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport.

The station was opened in 1994 by the French National Railway Company (SNCF) with the commercial launch of the LGV Rhône-Alpes high-speed line (the second link in the high-speed rail line connecting Paris to Marseille).

The station, designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava Valls (one of his first major projects) in collaboration with the SNCF's station design agency, is a reinforced concrete structure with a steel roof, resembling a bird taking flight.

The central hall, located transversely to the rails, is covered by a large metal framework forming two flared wings on either side.
