FREE FOR MEMBERS.
About the Exhibition:
What if a sculpture or an image is a question, pondering who we are and where we are headed in relation to nature, technology, and creativity?
The interest in line, the interest in fiber and pixel and what they can become in the context of time, space and materials, is still the essence of my personal explorations: the mechanics of inspiration and visual thinking, the ethics of transhumanism, and a phygital mind.
While exploring the same subjects, the work has grown in scale.
It’s unclear to me if sculptures and moving images are interior or exterior spaces. They can be both. Connections of mind and body, material and immaterial, ancient and contemporary, bio and tech, all are complexities which are not opposites. If light is a machine, what is the spirituality of technology?
Building structures as questions induces countless little responses, reactions, decisions, shaping the space into a subjective mass of thoughts, memories, hopes, possibilities, but mostly, a desire for more tenderness.
—Bojana Ginn

Sybil Lamb, visual artist and author of the forthcoming novel 'I've Got a Time Bomb' (Topside Press), with her piece, 'DIY Surgery'. "This piece isn't just a transgender thing," she said. "It's almost a transhuman thing. It's about the right to design our own bodies."

A conceptual editorial- style series about the dramatic effects cosmetic enhancement could end up having on the body in the future. Based on scientific theory, it surrounds the idea that if global warming got out of control, we would have to adapt ourselves to survive what we created. This image represents the idea that humans could learn to live underwater should the sea levels rise too high. Obviously the idea came from science-ficiton, but you can't argue the practicality behind it.

Neurogress.io. We have already developed exoskeletons and advanced prosthetics that can not only replace, but enhance human function, but how far will this go? Will we ever reach a transhumanist world?
