Cropped but otherwise an unadulterated iPhone5 image of the transformers in my previous photo "The Land of Giants". It was a dull grey day hence the processing for the main shot. For my group www.flickr.com/groups/telegraph_tuesday/ HTT!

This is the Voyager version of Movie Optimus Prime. I bought it on eBay on a bargain, but I didn't want to keep it. At the end I kept it.
Traffic was nuts this morning at the Dollard bridge. The cops directing traffic, usually 3 of them at different areas control the lights. Geez it's very slow. Then again you'd probably have chaos if they weren't there. The bridge itself looks like something from a transformers movie.

The transformation sequence. Transformers became more complicated since I was a child and recreating that in a small LEGO model is one of the more difficult things I've done with LEGO in while.
Lifting an ABB transformer from ship to shore onto a spmt at Albert Dock, Hull for onward transport to Cottingham. One of four to be moved.
I don't normally leave a description but I felt like I wanted to let you know what it was about this seemingly ordinary image that stood out to me. If you look at the subjects face the timing of the passing bus window frames his right eye as if he were wearing a Transformers mask. That's it. The inferred contrast between normal guy having lunch and super hero jumped out at me when I was reviewing the images I took.
This shot was taken in Pittsburgh while I was teaching a street photography workshop recently. If you're interested in street photography you can check out DecisiveShot.com.
These things regularly come through Congleton. I don't know how long it is but this is one of the shorter versions. Sometimes they have an additional tractor unit on the front and the back. Even this trailer unit has 224 main wheels, twenty eight axles each with eight wheels. They take transformers from where they are made in Stafford to the docks at Ellesmere Port for export. I think it might have been a good idea to build the factory closer to Ellesmere Port.
A new art installation has positively transformed a downtown street corner. Eye-catching sculptures went up Thursday outside Sunwest Silver at Lomas and Fourth, right across from the courthouses. They are modeled after the Transformers characters, Optimus Prime and Grimlock.
We made a quick stop to take a look at these fabulous pieces of art.
Lego Grimlock, the leader of the Dinobots from the film Transformers 4 - Age of Extinction.
I'm very happy to show you this model finished, sorry for waiting.
This is a big model (4410 parts), the maximum length is almost 1 m. For this reason the internal structure is made with technic parts to keep the body lightweight and strong. Also there are gears and mechanisms that allow a wide range of movements, from the head to the tail.
It was totally built using Lego Digital Designer.
FEATURES
- free articulations on mouth, tongue, arms and tail
- 2 flex joints for each leg articulation (ankles and knees)
- turntable-worm gear for hips rotation
- turntable-worm gear for head rotation
- 2 linear actuators for head movement (up and down)
- easy removable dorsal ribs (for holding the model)
- an intimidating appearance

Building both digital and physical at the same time,
to finalize a few more Transformers models.
This theme never seems to let go of me.
With so many characters that fit the Lego color palette,
it will be another decade of building i guess :D
First of all i have to say that my blood and tears are all over the model not only in sense.
Cablecutters vs. Flexocables!
Second this model is an answer to this:

Hasbro, when producing Transformers
legolized (kre-olized) they at least should TRANSFORM !
After my first version a couple of years ago i thought i give him the right colors and scale him down a bit.
He´s one of my favorite TF
models so far.
The jet mode is supposed to be a F-15
even when the shape is not perfect,
i hope you get the idea and like this
legolized Starscream.
Another Transformers model done physical and digital.
Blaster is defo one of my favorite characters, very simple transformation, but fun.
The statues display at the Silver Leaf Garden, Gardens by the Bay during Transformers : Rise of the Beasts Statues World Tour.
First model in a line of following Transformers creations.
Not all of them will be built with LEGO though.
On this character the colors did work too well to not give it a try.
Original from the asian Dorvack toyline Roadbuster was next to
Jetfire and Whirl one of the more advanced HASBRO Transformers releases.
Diecast and high detail transformation made them called Autobot Deluxe vehicles.
The new LEGO balljoints came handy for the transformation on the feet and body.
Also the new 1x2 curved slopes in dark brown made for a perfect headpiece.
Stay tuned for more model uploads very soon!
Have a great weekend!

This month's LUGNuts challenge is called 'Cars Too'. The Challenge is to build a car from the movie Cars 2 or any other anthropomorphic car.
I have never seen Cars and instead decided to go for the ultimate anthropomorphic car: a Transformer!
