Hybrid Play transforma los parques infantiles en escenarios de juego digital interactivo. Mediante un sensor conectado a una app convertimos los elementos del parque en controladores de los videojuegos que se muestran en el teléfono móvil. El sensor captura datos de los movimientos que los niños realizan en el columpio, en el tobogán, el caballito, etc, y la app los transforma en acciones que controlan el videojuego: saltar, correr, girar...
Transformative interdisciplinary research can help tackle the world's challenges and has the potential to transform lives and regions.This interdisciplinary conference, coinciding with UOW's inaugural McKinnon Walker Fellowship Program, will bring together researchers from diverse fields from around the globe to respond to the challenge to Transform Vulnerability.
In 2018, how have digital humanities scholars taken up the call to expand the literary and historical canon to include groups that have been understudied or misrepresented by the print record? What does an intersectional, feminist DH methodology look like, who or what is it transforming, and how might we practice it in our own institutions? Transformative Digital Humanities: Feminist Interventions in Structure, Representation, and Practice asks how digital work might better support the knowledge and cultural production of women and people of color.
On March 23, 2018, we invited humanities scholars, librarians, archivists, digital historians, and others to connect and participate in a day of discussion that will address questions about the organizational and technical infrastructures needed to support transformative digital research, and consider alternative modes of representing gender and race in digital archives.
