Surprisingly these buses run dead all the way from Keighley (some 12 miles away) to operate this route and the 962, between Otley and Ilkley.
Not having a route number is something that is becoming more common at Transdev under the leadership of Alex Hornby. This current route is a cross town service, linking the old 965 service to the estates north of Otley with Menston railway station and village.
The vehicle pictured started life working on Keighley local routes under the 'Jets' brand, and was then painted into its current livery last year.

This particular Versa was one of eight vehicles which arrived into service in May 2012. They were purchased to replace the twelve year old Wright Cursader bodied Volvo B6BLEs. Originally number 281 in 2012 however, by 2017 the bus was renumbered as 211. This was because of the arrival of the thirty new Optare Versa's for the Mainline in Burnley.
During August the bus was repainted into the new look York & Country two tone blue livery. 211 was also given a mechanical spruce up before entering service with York. On November 23rd 2018, the bus was seen working the 181 York to Malton via Castle Howard service. Along with two stints on the 194 Malton to Hovingham service, both routes taken over from the collapse of Stephenson's of Easingwold.
Here 211 is seen arriving into Slingsby, while working the 14:05 Hovingham to Malton service. With thanks to Driver Josh and Dale in the office for the details about 211's whereabouts today. Thank you gentlemen.
