- An unexpected position in an unexpected environment... It is marvelous to be with these creatures, Walking With Delight, AZ. -

My beautiful niece in the photo at 15 years old. (taken this past September)

I tried to recreate the photo (same place) I took on my old iPhone in 2016, (link below if you are interested)....It ended up being too different than I would have liked to the original, however, I wanted it to be as natural as possible. I still like what the photo conveys to me and how she has changed as person 5 years later with her walking towards her future. The photo from 2016 was in the moment natural shot whereas I tried to do same but knew what I was aiming for this time, obviously. ☺️

My niece is a remarkable young lady, the sweetest, kindest soul, so caring and looks for the good in everyone. She is a great athlete, with a passion for running and cycling. She definitely inspires me.💛

Her longest bicycle ride was 160km at 14 years old. And she tends to run like Forest Gump,.. lol.. 👏🙌💛🚴🏃‍♀️

my niece in 2016 at 10 years old - not a great quality photo, however it is still one of my personal favorites because of its meaning to me. 💛

~happy easter saturday to us All ! ~

the day of trancendence and transmutation.

There are places that help me recognize a deeper truth about myself that transcends logic and explanation. Ancient Romans argued that no place is without genius. Every place, every space is inhabited by the invisible; as is the human body by the breath of life

Miracle Plant ~ The word Aparajita means undefeated ~

~ It's Feng Shui properties are also miraculous -

Having an Aparajita in the house compound

gives the House an Invincible Aura

which transcends on to it's inhabitants as well.

~ Its roots, when grinding with vinegar and applied

on pimples, cure it within no time.

~ Aparajita is a destroyer form of Goddess Durga

that destroys the demoniacal energies.

Butterfly pea flower comes from a plant called clitoria ternatea that's native to Southeast Asia. The flowers are deep blue in color with a tinge of purple. The dried flowers are popular in Southeast Asia to color food like rice and it's also brewed in water to make a blue-colored tea. A drop of Lemon juice will turn Blue in Purple.

I'm heading off for a while, shall keep up as much as possible. Please forgive if all I manage is a fav and no comments.

Heading south and hoping (or should that be hopping) to make it to Kangaroo Island, just off the South Australian coastline.

Every being in the universe has the potentiality of transcending the senses. Even the little worm will one day transcend the senses and reach God. No life will be a failure. There is no such thing as failure in the universe. Sri Sathya Sai Baba

~happy fence friday~

A panoramic view of dawn at Vermillion Lake, Banff, Canada.

I managed to reveal tree roots in the foreground water while capturing reflection of snow-capped mountains and glorious sky in the background.

Technical: eight vertical still images stitched.

I am at a loss regarding captions...

Shot with my manual Tamron standard zoom lens (@f/11) adapted to an EOS 70D on my way to work.

I needed to be quick (open the aperture, achieve focus confirmation, stop down again to gain dof) and therefore did not manage to frame the picture thus, that the reflection of the crossing person is in the picture too.

Thanked be the dawning spring that illuminates my mornings again. :-)

Timeless Elegance: A Monochromatic Portrait of the Sunbird

Witness the timeless elegance and intricate details that transcend the boundaries of color.

With the absence of hues, the focus shifts to the sunbird's form, highlighting the delicate curves of its body and the graceful extension of its wings. Every line and contour becomes more pronounced, revealing the true essence of this magnificent creature. In this monochromatic realm, the sunbird's beauty takes on a new dimension, captivating our senses with its understated allure.

The contrast between light and shadow adds depth and drama to the composition, accentuating the intricate patterns of the sunbird's feathers. Each tiny barb and filament becomes a work of art, delicately etched by nature's hand. The monochrome palette amplifies the textures, transforming them into a tactile feast for the eyes.

As we immerse ourselves in this black and white Photograph, we are reminded of the power of simplicity. Stripped of vibrant colors, the sunbird's allure lies in its pure essence, showcasing the harmonious balance between light and darkness. In this stark monochrome realm, we discover the inherent beauty that transcends the limitations of perception.

Join me in this exploration of the sunbird's monochromatic world, where simplicity reigns supreme. The subtleties and nuances that define this enchanting creature. Marvel at the timeless elegance of the sunbird, as it stands as a testament to the enduring beauty found within the realm of black and white.

Through this photograph, I invite you to embrace the artistry of monochrome and celebrate the intricate details that often go unnoticed. Allow yourself to be captivated by the sunbird's subtle grace and be inspired by the timeless allure that can be found even in the absence of color.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

You raise me up... To more than I can be.

It was a quiet morning on Haight Street. I grew up in this district and marvel how it always seems to stay pretty much the same. People come and go. Trends and fads come and go, yet the Haight District has a timeless energy that transcends whatever the current events may be.

Another one from my balcony shoot (so to speak), this Eurasian Jay gave me the eyes, both of them, and I decided to have fun with the PP. So thus this is an entirely experimental image as a partial monochrome render. It was suggested to me to setup a better backdrop and so I will in time.

Also I may be bringing back the CPTSD series, not sure yet.

I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

Stack of 19 exposures of 1.6'' each.

“To live on a day-to-day basis is insufficient for human beings; we need to transcend, transport, escape; we need meaning, understanding, and explanation; we need to see over-all patterns in our lives. We need hope, the sense of a future. And we need freedom (or, at least, the illusion of freedom) to get beyond ourselves, whether with telescopes and microscopes and our ever-burgeoning technology, or in states of mind that allow us to travel to other worlds, to rise above our immediate surroundings.

We may seek, too, a relaxing of inhibitions that makes it easier to bond with each other, or transports that make our consciousness of time and mortality easier to bear. We seek a holiday from our inner and outer restrictions, a more intense sense of the here and now, the beauty and value of the world we live in.”

― Oliver Sacks
