Frost on the Southwell Trail

'They mark the way', yellow Citrus loop "A" trail. Withlacoochee State Forest, Citrus County, Fl (Acreage: 164,073 acres)

The Botkin Trail in the Yalta Nature Reserve is one of the most famous hiking trails in the Crimean Mountains. Its length from Kirov Street to the top of Stavri-Kay aMount is 4.5 kilometers.

The Botkin Trail route was created in 1901 for tuberculosis patients. They could take wellness walks here, so it is also called the "Health Trail". In these places, the phytoncides of the coniferous forest are mixed with the sea breeze, which creates a positive effect for the treatment of lung diseases.

Professor Sergey Botkin was one of the most famous physicians in Russia in the second half of the 19th century. He received the title of academician and the position of physician of the royal family. Since 1870, he has been studying the climate of the Southern coast of Crimea and made a huge contribution to the popularization of recreation and the development of sanatoriums in the Crimea. He was the first to note the healing properties of the air on the Southern coast of Crimea for the treatment of lung diseases.

What a crazy summer 2022 was, still disappointed by the trailing MRL power on LB that day.

I wish I had a dollar for ever time I went to the start of a hiking trail where they have these nice steps that would go maybe 20, 50-100 meters at best before you it turns to dirt, then to rocks, then boulders and not looking like much of a trail at all and you are just following faded painted trailer markers nailed to trees. As I get older and my legs and muscle endurance are nowhere near what it use to be I become more aware of this. But hey the first fifty feet of this trail here are really nice.

“Roadiripophobia (r)

The fear of not having any road trips planned” -unknown.

Although we have been home for a month now, I do find myself getting itchy feet lately. . I shall have to be content with day trips for the winter. This is a scene from the Fundy Trail Parkway. While covering long distances on our road trips, there are times we just cannot not stop to take pictures. We need to prioritize. Consequently, I got better at taking pictures through our car windshield as the car is moving. I started an album to keep track of some the roads we have travelled over time. With a higher ISO to get the sharpness I needed and then some AI magic in editing, I got some decent results. This road was newly paved with lots of twists and turns. It was a dream to drive on.

A creekside trail at Huddert Park in Woodside, California .

My most horrible shot on the trip. Hand shake, not paying attention to the shutter speed and out of focus ruined the shot. Tried to bring out the mood and keep it for memory

Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

A little Fox came in for a drink and my trail cam grabbed this shot. One of these summer nights I'm going to setup my camo blind and spend the night out here with my R5 and see what I can capture. With my luck, the farmers cows would come in and I'd get trampled

All uphill for 2 miles with no payoff view at the end.

From yesterdays hike in Page, AZ

For a stunning walk weeks ago. Topaz filter applied.

I would have liked to hiked more of this trail but our walk was cut short by swarms of Asian Lady Beetles. Those are the ones that kind of look like Ladybugs. You couldn't stop or even walk slow without them landing on you and sometimes biting! By the time we got back to the car we had to shake ourselves off. There must have been a couple of dozen of them crawling on me! LOL!

Despite the vicious attack, I'd recommend Wyalusing State Park to anyone who likes shorter and less challenging hikes. Besides the bluff trails there are some sandstone canyons to hike to as well. There's also a couple of other parks nearby.

Trail through the Rocky Mountains National Park.

Mid November Trail Walk. Near Kitchener Ontario.

Alone on the trail with the peace of nature, fresh air and good exercise.

...where you arrive at the river's edge of the Comite. After a long walk in Louisiana's heat and humidity to get here, you need to stop and recoup, so that your eyes can focus more clearly.

Sure it was trailing...but having never seen this one of a kind unit before I did my best to capture a clean roster shot here since this was a rather cool bonus. Iowa Interstate ES44AC 516 was blt. Dec. 2014 as part of the regional's third order of modern GE road power. It was specially painted in this Rock Island style red and yellow scheme as part of the IAIS' 30th anniversary celebrations.

It is seen here switching across South Sixth Street adjacent to the historic Rock Island depot.
