As I was working on the Heron Rookery movie I decided I would like to show every process from nest building to the young fledglings 1st flight. I will be taking videos over the net few months to make the movie. So here is a quick trailer I put together using iMovie with a few cuts and Herons around the area. Just for fun... I hope you enjoy it. Turn your volume up :)
Moonrise over a wrecked trailer in an abandoned junkyard in Hodge, CA on Route 66 near Barstow. Night (just after dusk), full moon, 30 second exposure, flashlight-painting. ig
Reprocessed and replaced, August 2023.
RhB driving trailer coach ABDt 1713 was at the rear of the S2 1552 08:36 Thusis to Chur service [hauled by Class Be 4/4 motor coach 513] recorded at Reichenau-Tamins. The movement of milk churns via certain RhB RE passenger services was still to be seen back in 2009. The churns in view had not long arrived via such workings and were awaiting movement across for transfer to a road tanker.

Welcome to the backstreets of the Friends world!
No cute critters, no pink, bright yellow or magenta, and where people are not so adorable nor friendly!
A zillion thank you's to the multi-talented crew of dudes at C&G construction.
Ryan, the mastermind. Harry, the silly master electrician. Chris, the tatoo covered cabinet man with a gift for color combinations. Jared, the friendly and meticulous painter. And Chad, the amazing gear head that cuts no corners.
And I can't forget my too-beautiful-to-be-true friend, Leah...who keeps them all in line while wearing 3 inch heels.
There is no other team like C&G Construction.
Another brand, built by a Warren Buffett Berkshire Hathaway company. Summer brings these trailers out!
The right side was more interesting but blocked by the car.
Diesel engine powered water pumps for fire-fighting purposes, trailer-mounted. Used if, when and where needed.
The morning trailers for Green Bay hammers along near Winnabago with 3010 and 6586 providing the muscle. The date is May 31, 1995 and train T-219 is running long on this day. WC really picked up a lot of TOFC business out of Green Bay.
Truck and trailer at the rest area. B&W photo found on the web and edited. The color probably isn't correct.
Once a common sight, Freightliner Cabovers are pretty rare now in the U.S. In fact cabovers of any brand are rare.

Here in Southeastern Utah, trailer homes are a popular housing option where boom and bust economies exist. In some areas, an old trailer, and or an old kitchen appliance, and or dead cars are part of the landscape and can even be considered sort of religious icons or art projects as they get traded around between family members and close friends.
I have my own trailer, (sans old kitchen appliances and dead cars) acquired years back to serve as a quiet/artistic space away from the "flying f**ks" and drywall dust that banged and floated around the house while we were remodeling our home. It now serves as storage for boating and camping gear.
On stormy evenings, when the setting sun peeks through clouds, the trailer's door and windows glow an other-worldly gold with the white siding fading to blue. The scene always seems to present itself at times when I'm cooking dinner or too tired and lazy to pick up the camera.
Last week, while photographing storm clouds, I went to the back of the house for possible rainbow views and saw the gold without any rainbow and decided to dance a little with ICM and Multiple exposure.
It's amazing what you find when you look.

Fuji Color film, 200 ISO. This is not a Black and white photo.
Kerry Baldry asked me to make a little trailer for the one minute movie festival she is running in February in North Wales. If you're in the area - go! It'll be a treat. There's lots of great work up, including a piece from the splendid Chen Harland, of this manor.
