Dort werden alte Traditionen gezeigt und dem bayerischen Brauchtum gehuldigt.

Das Bild entstand beim Perchtenlauf auf dem Jexhof, bei Fürstenfeldbruck, den die Brucker Perchten aufführen. Es ist schön, dass unsere Traditionen so am Leben erhalten werden.
Originally, the word Perchten (plural of Perchta) referred to the female masks representing the entourage of an ancient goddess, Frau Perchta, or Pehta Baba as it is known in Slovenia. Some claim a connection to the Nordic goddess Freyja, though this is uncertain. Traditionally, the masks were displayed in processions (Perchtenlauf) during the last week of December and first week of January, and particularly on January 6. The costume consists of a brown wooden mask and brown or white sheep's skin. In recent times Krampus and Perchten have increasingly been displayed in a single event, leading to a loss of distinction of the two. Perchten are associated with midwinter and the embodiment of fate and the souls of the dead. The name originates from the Old High German word peraht ("brilliant" or "bright"). Wikipedia

During the civil war the militant organization Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which destroys cultural assets for ideological reasons (iconophobia), took control of Palmyra in May 2015 and subsequently blew up important historical buildings; the site was also looted. UNESCO has placed it on the red list of endangered world heritage sites (whc.unesco.org/Wikipedia).

The Colca Canyon is a canyon of the Colca River in southern Peru, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) northwest of Arequipa. With a depth of 3,270 metres (10,730 ft), it is one of the deepest in the world. The Colca Valley is a colorful Andean valley with pre-Inca roots, and towns founded in Spanish colonial times, still inhabited by people of the Collagua and the Cabana cultures. The local people maintain their ancestral traditions and continue to cultivate the pre-Inca stepped terraces, called andenes.
Der Colca-Canyon ist eine Schlucht des Colca-Flusses im Süden Perus und liegt etwa 160 Kilometer nordwestlich von Arequipa. Mit einer Tiefe von 3.270 Metern ist es eines der tiefsten der Welt. Das Colca-Tal ist ein farbenfrohes Andental mit präinkaischen Wurzeln und in der spanischen Kolonialzeit gegründeten Städten, in denen immer noch Menschen der Collagua- und Cabana-Kultur leben. Die Einheimischen pflegen ihre althergebrachten Traditionen und bewirtschaften weiterhin die Stufen-Terrassen der Vor-Inka-Zeit, die Andenes genannt werden.

A frustrating theme. What I tried to do didn't work, what worked wasn't exactly "glazed", but just glass. I'm uploading this quick shot just as not to skip this Monday. I know that it isn't a particularly good photo, but here it is. These three guys remind me of Flickr, in a way. We are all so different, like the three in this shot, their beaks have different colours, their shapes are different... we are all from different countries, speak different languages, have different cultures, religions, traditions. Yet, here on Flickr, we all get on so well with each other. So at least this capture has a meaning ;-)
War das ein frustrierendes Thema ;-). Meine eigentliche Idee funktionierte so gar nicht und irgendwann lief mir die Zeit davon, der Moment für drei Freunde aus meiner kleinen Pinguin-Sammlung. Bei den Dreien musste ich an Flickr denken, hier sind Leute aus der ganzen Welt aktiv, mit ganz unterschiedlichen Hintergründen, aus verschiedenen Kulturen, mit unterschiedlichen Religionen, Traditionen, Sprachen... aber hier auf Flickr verstehen wir uns trotz dieser Unterschiede alle gut, weil wir durch die Freude an der Fotografie vereint sind. Das finde ich schön ;-).

🇫🇷 Cargèse( Carghèse) est une commune française de la Corse-du-Sud.
Au Xle siècle, le comte Ugo Colonna était devenu maître de la Corse après avoir chassé les Sarrasins.
1289 - Le 24 mai, tous les seigneurs se soumettent à Gênes.
Janvier 1676, une petite colonie de six cents Grecs fuyant l'occupation turque, s'établit dans l'arrière-pays de Sagone, à Paomia, à deux kilomètres à l'est de l'actuel Cargèse.
Sur le plan religieux, Paomia faisait partie du diocèse de Sagone. Mais en raison de l'insécurité régnant sur le littoral, l'évêque résidait dans une pro-cathédrale à Calvi.
1768 - Avec la cession de la Corse par les Génois, l'île passe sous administration française.
1790 - la Révolution française crée le département de Corse. La piève de Cargèse devient le canton de Cargèse.
Les deux églises (rite latin et rite grec) sont construites dans la première moitié du XlX° siècle.
Lorsque les Génois attribuèrent les terres à la communauté grecque, un contrat stipulait que les Grecs pouvaient conserver leurs traditions orthodoxes, mais qu'ils se soumettaient tout de même à l'autorité papale.
Le rite byzantin grec a été totalement préservé jusqu'à nos jours. Avec le temps, la venue de Corses des villages avoisinants a permis l'implantation du rite latin
L'église orthodoxe est de nos jours desservie également par le clergé catholique de rite grec .

Cargèse is a French commune in southern Corsica.
In the 11th century, Count Ugo Colonna became master of Corsica after having driven out the Saracens.
1289 - On 24 May, all the lords submitted to Genoa.
January 1676, a small colony of six hundred Greeks fleeing the Turkish occupation, settled in the hinterland of Sagone, in Paomia, two kilometres east of the present Cargese.
From a religious point of view, Paomia was part of the diocese of Sagone. But because of the insecurity along the coast, the bishop resided in a pro-cathedral in Calvi.
1768 - With the cession of Corsica by the Genoese, the island came under French administration.
1790 - The French Revolution creates the department of Corsica. Cargèse becomes the canton of Cargèse.
The two churches (Latin and Greek rite) were built in the first half of the 19th century.
When the Genoese allocated the land to the Greek community, a contract stipulated that the Greeks could keep their orthodox traditions, but that they would still submit to papal authority.
The Greek Byzantine rite has been fully preserved to the present day. Over time, the arrival of Corsicans from neighbouring villages allowed the Latin rite to be established
The Orthodox Church is nowadays also served by the Catholic clergy of the Greek rite

Januar 1676 - Eine kleine Kolonie von 600 Griechen, die vor der türkischen Besatzung geflohen waren, ließ sich im Hinterland von Sagone in Paomia nieder, zwei Kilometer östlich des heutigen Cargèse.
In religiöser Hinsicht gehörte Paomia zur Diözese Sagone. Aufgrund der unsicheren Lage an der Küste residierte der Bischof jedoch in einer Prokathedrale in Calvi.
1768 - Mit der Abtretung Korsikas durch die Genuesen kam die Insel unter französische Verwaltung.
1790 - Im Zuge der Französischen Revolution wird das Departement Korsika gegründet. Die piève de Cargèse wird zum Kanton Cargèse.
Die beiden Kirchen (lateinischer und griechischer Ritus) werden in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts errichtet.
Als die Genuesen der griechischen Gemeinde das Land zuteilten, wurde in einem Vertrag festgelegt, dass die Griechen ihre orthodoxen Traditionen beibehalten durften, sich aber dennoch der päpstlichen Autorität unterstellten.
Der griechisch-byzantinische Ritus wurde bis heute vollständig bewahrt. Mit der Zeit führte der Zuzug von Korsen aus den umliegenden Dörfern dazu, dass sich der lateinische Ritus etablierte.
Die orthodoxe Kirche wird heute auch vom katholischen Klerus des griechischen Ritus betreut.
