Behind the scenes look of my tracks across the mud flats trying to get to a spot for sunset - at least finding my way back to my Outback was easy; I just followed my tracks.

The wander track light walking route is the highlight of the Dordrecht December Days. Can be admired daily from 5 pm to 10 pm in the historic city center from December 9 to January 8 (with the exception of December 25 and 31). Whilst out shooting the comet in the Shropshire Hills I turned around to see an opportunity to climb up onto the rocks and stand right in the middle of the Milky Way. 30secs foreground and 240sec tracked sky.

Walking down this track in morning fog alongside of the lake one can easily be lost in the moment of stillness and quiet except for the sounds of birds.
Lake Wyaralong district
This is at the beginning of the Coastal Track in the Royal National Park. The views are magnificent.
Tracks vanishing in the mist have a strange symbolism. Like to never take a train to some other world as master Miyazaki had portayed. The train would be full of spooky strangers anyway. Only ghosts could travel to such a mist. And yet, the hope lingers. Or is it a fear of that actually happening one day? To fly away or to become a ghost, there is no difference...
Grabbed my camera at the light minute today trying to get a little light and this was all I could come up with! If I'd had my camera with me just half an hour earlier, I would have had some better shots...it's all in timing!
It's rare that we see foxes in our area but they are here and somehow manage to survive unseen in the city - except this time of year, when a fresh snowfall reveals telltale tracks of their passing. These posts are remnants of a dock near a small section of open water on the frozen river, where a number of geese and ducks are wintering. I wonder if there was one fewer on this morning.
When it sensed people's movements, it turned on a surveillance light and became as bright as daytime, so I had to shoot quickly.
