Another day of practicing panning shots. First time attempting this on motorcycles during a trackday at the TT circuit in Assen The Netherlands. Given the fact that motorcycles are smaller then cars you have an advantage and a disadvantage. Smaller in length makes the deviation in focus front to back smaller when not shooting perpendicular to the axis of movement. But smaller also means more focal length is needed which makes it harder. This one was shot at 500mm handheld with 1/80sec shutterspeed.

One of many shots taken at Cadwell Park as part of a corporate trackday event. Really chuffed to get media accreditation so allowed inside the fences. It's amazing what difference a few feet can make to the angles and perspective. Many more to follow, but I must do some work first :-) Ian Hopgood (www.ihphotography.net/) was there to make sure everyone had at least one photo of the day, which allowed me to experiment and try and get some 'arty' type images.
