"Tracker 24"

These are freight tracks embedded in the street, not trolley tracks. They are standard gauge, whereas all trolley tracks in Philly are broad gauge.

You can see the awesome abandoned Reading Railroad trestle in the background. (Stay tuned; there's a bunch of interesting shots I took up there coming up!)

Taken on the 10xx block of Noble Street, Philadelphia.

I was just trying to get a view of the track and my flash did not go off so only the light from the small windows coming in, but I like the effect of the shadows on the boards.

So I climbed up a hill to get on top of this bridge I have been driving under all my life...I have never seen the train tracks from up here. These are the same set of train tracks that run by my apartment, and the ones that are in the shots out in Avon Lake I uploaded recently.

I liked being able to see some curves in the track, as there are so many areas of train tracks near me that are just straight shots.

I originally attempted this as an HDR, but was not satisfied with the results, so I ended up going for a black and white, which I think worked much better with the snow and shadows.
