The second generation of the Toyota 86. Its Subaru BRZ twin is no longer sold in Europe. The original UK allocation sold out within 90 minutes of going on sale!

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this new Realtoy casting so naturally I had to buy a few of them. They arn't as well detailed as previous Realtoy models but still feature detailed badging and interiors and so still represent great value for money at this end of the diecast market. Compare it to the Hot Wheels Scion version for example. Hopefully it will be available in other colours soon. Mint and boxed.

So after a glorious day at Summit Point Raceway with the gifted 2020 Toyota GR Supra and its BMW 3-liter inline 6-cylinder I can substantiate the euphoria emanating from the 40,000 (90% male and 30% Hispanic) potential customers who expressed specific interest in the Japanese halo car.
in 2011, Toyota unleashed the 86 which set the aftermarket and tuning scene on fire.
With a couple of interesting concepts floating around, lets see if the other carmakers have been able to step up to the plate.

Developed in a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru and manufactured solely by Subaru, as the Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S in North America until August 2016 when the Scion brand was discontinued after which US cars were sold as the Toyota 86.
The cars shared a boxer engine, front engine, rear wheel drive drivetrain, 2+2 seating and a fastback coupé body style.
The Subaru BRZ name comes from three elements: Boxer engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Z standing for the zenith. It differs from its Toyota sibling in the front fascia, with a different grille and headlight assembly, as well as a different front fender vent. The BRZ's grill is hexagonal in shape, compared to the Toyota's trapezoid. The BRZ features a wraparound of LED parking lights in the headlight assembly, while daytime running lights are integrated into the bumper. and the suspension set ups differ.

Having noticed a new Realtoy Ford Focus ST casting for sale by a UK Ebayer I guessed that there would be more new Realtoy models I didn't know had been launched. Unfortunately none of my local Tesco stores appear to stock Realtoy anymore and so drove to the biggest one in the area. Unfortunately I couldn't find the Ford Focus but did notice this Toyota 86 along with some more new colours. Although cost cutting is evident in this new model, it still manages to be well cast and detailed and is still above a Mattel product in this respect. Mint and boxed.
