More toys from the past. Note the helicopter on top of the building at right. The 1950's were a great era for helicopters. Invented by a Russian immigrant, Igor Sikorsky in 1939, helicopters are one of the great aircraft of war and peace. In the 1950's, they even had their own TV show, WHIRLYBIRDS, with Chuck and PT at the controls.
Baby and Maya were so excited when they saw them, thinking they were new squeaky toys for them to play with! Sorry, these guys are for me.

Tablescrap builds while sorting through the two Pick-A-Brick cups from the weekend haul of sand green and tan parts. The builds are for one stud thick square plates of two, three and four studs.

Still a work-in-progress beast scaled to be between the molded Kaadu and the brick built Fambaa. The head alone took almost an hour figuring out the right pieces starting with the mouth. Slim/sleek profile and parts intensive to get the SNOT look. Still some minor changes to be done and then on to build the ammo wagon next...
In Oamaru,a town in NZ has this wonderful little sweet and craft shop,that sells sweets ,weighed out in ounces and put into little paper bags. There were some wonderful handmade crafts too, such as this colourful rocking horse.

Today I had planned to get a bench shot out in the rain puddles when the rain stopped...that didn't happen, instead our garage flooded and the rain nearly made it up to our front door. Perfect day to be standing on something higher...inside!
