Tower Bridge opens for Dixie Queen, a replica of a 19th century Mississippi paddle steamer and one of the largest boats regularly on the River Thames. The bridge was open soon after a dull sunset here, but the low tide enabled me to get to a spot not usually accessible.
Through the bridge you can just see a Christmas tree by City Hall.
The castle in Krasiczyn was built in Renaissance-Mannerist style in 16th and 17th centuries. The construction of castle was started by Stanisław Krasicki. Characteristic for it are 4 different corner towers: Divine, Papal, Royal and Noble. The castle is surrounded by a park.
At the beginning of World War II, the castle was robbed by Soviet soldiers. In 1940, in the castle, Soviet filmmakers made an anti-Polish film entitled "Wind from the East", justifying the invasion of the USSR together with Germany on Poland in September 1939.

We took a cruise on the Themes while on this trip and I got a different perspective of the Tower Bridge. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and white puffy clouds.
On our first trip to London over 40 years ago we actually climbed to the top but at our advanced age this view was good enough.
Enjoy.

Shooting into the evening sun on Plymouth Hoe. This is Smeatons famous lighthouse design and once stood on the Eddystone reef from 1759 to 1877. It was dismantled and rebuilt on the Hoe just along from the Barbican and Mayflower steps.

If you have time I would highly recommend you taking a steep climb out of Broadway Tower towards the Broadway village. This really enjoyable walk is going to take you through the Cotswolds fields full of lambs and absolutely breathtaking views. If you get tired on your way down you can enjoy a little break on one of the benches (if it’s not already taken by the local lambs) and get lost in the tranquility of the Cotswolds view. If you like picture-postcard villages with honey coloured buildings, Broadway village is going to delight you with its rich cultural heritage.
Next time you watch TV look out for Broadway Tower which has been featured in a number of movies and television programs including Sherlock Holmes, The Gemini Factor, Interceptor and Crush.

DEN HOORN - The reformed church in Den Hoorn (Texel) is a striking church building in 1425 with a White Tower.
Tower of the parish church in Trumpington, a village just south of Cambridge.
The church is dedicated to Mary and Michael, with its oldest parts dating to around 1200. The tower is somewhat younger (ca 1330), and the whole church saw extensive renovation work in the 19th century - most notably by the Gothic Revival enthusiast William Butterfield (which I am sure impacted the work done).

Broadway Tower is a "folly" on Broadway Hill, near the large village of Broadway, in the English county of Worcestershire and was constructed at the second-highest point of the Cotswolds. In architecture, a "folly" is a building constructed primarily for decoration, but suggesting through its appearance some other purpose. The tower itself stands 65 feet (20 metres) high.
This "Saxon" tower was the brainchild of Capability Brown and designed by James Wyatt in 1794 in the form of a castle, and built for Lady Coventry in 1798–1799. (Wiki)
I was waiting for the sunset light to hit Scrabo Tower tonight and noticed the full moon creeping into shot. The sky was still bright and over exposed so I used a 3 stop ND Grad to darken it down, this let me get the moon into shot.

A sunrise that lacked a certain woomph but it means I will keep revisiting until I'm satisfied.
Sun rise meant to happen at 4.52am according to The Photographer's Ephemeris; the shot was taken at 5:40am.
By that time all the night lights had been turned off.

The Chindia Tower (Turnul Chindiei) is a tower in the Royal Court (Curtea Domnească) monuments ensemble in Târgovişte, Romania, built in the 15th century. The tower was begun during the second reign of Prince Vlad III the Impaler over Wallachia, taking its final form during the 19th century. It initially had a military purpose, but during history it has been used as a guard point, a fire spotter and for storing and protecting the state treasury. Between 1847 and 1851, the Chindia Tower was completely restored by Gheorghe Bibescu, who added 5 metres (16 ft) to its height. The building in its current form has a height of 27 metres (89 ft) and a diameter of 9 metres (30 ft). (Wikipedia)
