When you have the chance to enjoy the light before sunset, the golden sunshine flooding in through the windows, somehow I always feel it magical.
Last night the deco was almost done when I went to sleep, and today without a mouse had been tricky to finish it, I'm not that quick using the touchpad of my laptop, and the pen of the graphic tablet is impossible IW, gets you spinning when using the zoom lol

Apologies for being behind with comments on everyone's photos. I've been recuperating after an operation last week & just getting back on track. Plus my wireless mouse packed up, so hard getting used to the touchpad on the laptop again. New mouse has now arrived 👌

This might be dodgy looking... and if you think it is please say so. I've noticed that the images I process on my laptop don't look the same elsewhere. It looks really dodgy on my touchpad... oversaturated and well just rather pump. Any suggestions as to why that is and how I can minimise the difference gratefully received.
I was disappointed I didn't remember my tripod here because I lost better images due to not being able to keep the camera still. However whether I caught it in camera or not, my eyes had a feast here.

Winter is upon us and so I've left my bricks in Wales and I'm back in the Alps, playing with Stud.io.
I'm developing a love/hate relationship with Stud.io's user interface, much of which seems to have been designed to be counter intuitive, with frequently used controls hidden in menus and esoteric ones readily available. It's also tricky to use with laptop touchpad and don't get me started on its grouping system! No doubt I'll get used to it. I thought I'd start with a simple build, to get back into the swing of things :D
Fortunately nothing has changed over on Mecabricks, making it easy for unskilled folk like me to import models and get a nice looking render.
based on Strintfire's HAR117, I added a new stock and optic, as well as touchpad interfaces on the grip and trigger.
Im quite glad im finished witth this. I started it, and so i had to finish, although there was much annoyance in the process. The background i wanted was being a bitch to download, and actually working photoshop with a touchpad on a laptop is sooo hard.
But im quite proud of her marks, since i have a new version of photoshop which actually lets me resize the brushes. It just took alot of searching for the right kind.

A week ago we had a test of our SpaceX launch suits and spacecraft. Very sci-fi! They protect us from any loss of pressure or fire or any other unpleasantness during launch (not that, that will happen) and the gloves are touchpad-friendly. They are more modern and comfortable than the Russian Sokol suits I wore for Proxima launch, but those were designed decades ago and of a timeless design. Next time we put these on will be just four hours from liftoff. They fit like a glove and we are ready! Go Crew-2!

I like this edit, I have to admit... took me forever, and probably isn't one of the best, but yeah...
Considering I only have a touchpad (laptop) and I drew on the hair, the bed covers, the back board , the hand and shaded ... I'm happy/ =D
Always wanted one and finally got one and my heart is still bleeding that the company is no longer on the market. This phone had been my first to start sms and fb and whatsapp, being able to go online 24/7. The buttons are worn out. This very phone has had more than one operation and repairs cuz I dint't want to give this one up. The trackball was so great and no touchpad can get even with that (at least in my opinion. I even love the smell and I sometimes take it out of its box just to smell and touch it. It just is my phone, fitting perfectly into my small hands and the design in my opinion is timeless. It has character. Again, shame they stopped.
My first upload edited on my shiny new computer and 40" 4K monitor that arrived the other day. I'd been editing photos on a 13" laptop screen and a touchpad for years... I thought it was time for an upgrade!

I'm quite pleased with this, even if it isn't perfectly done.
- I had to draw all the clothes, fire, bone and hair with my touchpad. -grins happily-
So i think it turned out pretty well.

Note: I have found that, for those of you using a laptop with a touchpad, that if the cursor arrow is over the image, a small tap will put it On Black, thus bypassing all that messy "Press 'L' on your keyboard" mumbo-jumbo.Give it a try! Its lots of fun...and educational too! Four out of five Dental Surgeons in the United States recommend it!
Atari 2600 items are not that common at local fleamarkets. I haven't seen a boxed Star Raiders with Video Touchpad in the wild for a long time. My 2600 collection is pretty extensive, so I didn't buy anything this time.
Ok è una scemenza, lo ammetto..
..e poi disegnare con il touchpad non è il massimo, però l'idea era carina..
forse.. *ehm..*

Ok it's quite silly, can't deny it! and I just sketch an outline of the little man because of the touchpad, but the original idea was nice!! ..maybe.. O_o''

My 2nd attempt at HDR... index finger was cramped from blending the edges with my touchpad. It's high time i get a mouse! ;)
Highlights
This image was taken at the 2025 Country Swimming Championships in Darwin, Australia. It's had some selective colour desaturation to remove the bold yellow of the touchpads and the strong blue in the pool. I initially wasn't that taken with the result but over time it has grown on me, The colour pallet contrasts well with the swimmer's skin tones.

Here just peeking past other high rises including the Erickson, the blank south-facing concrete wall at The Charleson at 499 Pacific Street – the northeast corner of the intersection of Pacific Street and Richards Street – has been turned into a canvas for a giant mural, and its pop of colour spans from the base to the building’s very top 43rd floor. It is 30 ft wide and 416 ft high, making it Vancouver’s tallest mural.
The developer commissioned Vancouver-based visual artist Elizabeth McIntosh to create the architecture-enhancing art piece.
Dubbed ‘Finger Paint’, the mural is said to explore representation through digital and analog techniques, with the forms on the mural made by a finger on a touchpad, oscillating between marks, gestures, and solid shapes.
When you are driving North on Oak Street, South of False Creek, it lines up well so you can see the mural in the distance.
Recently I've been running into some really nice cars (figuratively not literally). This 2017 Rolls Royce Ghost was being washed and detailed just ahead of me.
www.motortrend.com/cars/rolls-royce/ghost/2017/
The Ghost's starting price at just above $300,000 makes it the lowest in Rolls-Royce's lineup, slotting below the Wraith, Dawn, and the soon-to-be-replaced flagship model, the Phantom.
Overview
The prestigious rear-drive Rolls-Royce Ghost comes powered by a smooth and potent 563-hp, 575-lb-ft of torque 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-12 mated to an eight-speed automatic. The premium English sedan offers an extended wheelbase version that allows for over six inches of additional rear legroom and delivers the same 12/19 mpg city/highway as the regular Ghost. The output from the same 6.6-liter V-12 powertrain is increased in the Ghost Black Badge model to 603 hp and 620 lb-ft. Although Rolls-Royce owners do not normally drive their glamorous vehicle hard, the Ghost can still hit 60 mph in a manufacturer-claimed 4.7 seconds, while the Black Badge does it in 4.6 seconds. In Motor Trend testing, a 2014 Ghost hit 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is highly customizable. Consumers can customize their Ghost to be one-of-a-kind. You can choose from one of 61 exterior colors (with choice of solid or two-tone), style and color of pinstriping, choice of 10 wheel styles and sizes, choice of five different Spirit of Ecstasy hood emblems, 19 different interior leather colors along with a multitude of color layout options, choice of 18 seat piping colors, 32 seat stitching colors, 19 colors to choose from for your Rolls-Royce headrest monogram, choice of 11 veneer styles (can be crossbanded in five styles and had with multiple inlay choices), six different types of headliners, 13 colors for the steering wheel (a two-tone finish is available), choice of 18 colors for the umbrella that comes with the Ghost, and personalized door sill text, headrest embroidery, seat pillow embroidery, and tailored indoor car cover colors and embroidery. Additional customization options are still available.
What We Think
In a 2015 First Drive review of the recently updated Rolls-Royce Series II, we explained how the updates were minimal but referred to as "subtle" by the automaker, "Subtle is simply a code word for, 'We didn't change a whole lot.' Before you accuse the automaker of laziness or complacency, however, understand that its incomprehensibly rich clientele didn't want the car to change much."
For example, the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament was titled forward 7 degrees and the new adaptive LED headlights were pushed two inches outward to make the car look wider. However, there are more obvious updates like the touchpad in the center of the rotary dial that allows you to enter information by drawing with your fingertip, the latest BMW iDrive updates for the infotainment system, and a full-color head-up display. We appreciated the driving dynamics as expected from a Rolls-Royce and said, "Driven as a Rolls-Royce should be, it still wafts away from a stop and down the road. It still rolls gracefully onto its outside tires when cornering and offers a surprising amount of grip when doing so. It still stops with some authority."
In a comparison between the 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost and the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur, it was a very even matchup in terms of performance and first-class luxury, but the deciding factor was the amount of attention the two vehicles received. "After reviewing the frame-by-frame footage, nine people glanced at the Bentley versus 18 at the Rolls. And after passing by, two turned around for another glance at the Spur compared with 11 for the Ghost. Two even took pictures of the Rolls. Imagine. A quarter-million-dollar Flying Spur ignored as cameras are raised for a passing Ghost."

The Charleson condo at 499 Pacific Street by Onni is home to a 2017 installed mural "Finger Paint".
The mural is a City of Vancouver Public Art Program piece.

DESCRIPTION:
The large-scale mural by Elizabeth McIntosh runs the length of the 43-storey tower.
At 30 feet wide and 416 feet high, A harmony of bright blue and yellow, pale pink, and black, Finger Paint explores representation through digital and analog techniques - got that?
The forms on the mural were made by a finger on a touchpad, oscillating between marks, gestures, and solid shapes.
Its soft edges bring a human quality and character to the architecture, the notion of hand-painting a building implying a human connection - really?
While the marks were made electronically, McIntosh approached this project within the context of painting.
Macintosh was particularly interested in how something made casually by her finger could have such symbolic and scalar impact to the world - amen.
ELIZABETH McINTOSH:
An Ontario native residing in Vancouver, McIntosh is an award-winning painter, published writer and professor at Emily Carr University.
Her art explores geometric abstraction, and is characterized by large scale abstract and figurative compositions.
Drawing from modern art historical sources, her work often blurs the border between abstraction and representation.
With collections in national galleries in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Ottawa, she has also been featured in several exhibitions in Canada and the US
ARTIST STATEMENT::
This artwork is a visual expression in the form of a bold, colourful mural that explores representation through digital and analog techniques. Finger Paint brings together many contrasts, particularly one of scale: human to monumental, organic to grid, bright colour to that of grey and glass, and the contrast of solid to transparent surfaces.
PUBLIC STATEMENT:
You either love this bright, vibrant, super tall mural, or you hate it. It's one of those things that elicits strong reactions - either positive or negative. Not many sit on the fence here.
Thanks for all your lovely comments and messages yesterday.
I'm still in lots of pain and stuck on the sofa, not able to move. My parents are here today so atleast I have tea :D I am propped up on a million pillows with my hot water bottle on my neck, it's not doing much though. Codine is helping a bit, mostly just making my brain fuzzy though!
I won't be able to do a HNT shot today, getting clothes on and off is far too difficult!
A loose term, vintage, but when a piece of technology is sixteen years old, I think vintage is valid. This 2000 Apple Pro Mouse I purchased today for £5 got me out of not one, but two, computer meltdowns today installing Windows 10 on two machines with no compatible touchpad drivers available for the OS.
With no right-click (Steve Jobs stated that you shouldn't need a right-click if the OS is designed properly) and a beautifully simple three-setting force adjustment for the click on the underside, along with that red glow, this is a pleasure to hold and use. I read the reviews praising the $59 (when launched) mouse and journalists were bowled over by it not having buttons or a ball and were in awe of it drawing power for the red glow from the USB port.
So, as no drivers are available for Windows 10, I decided to retrograde one machine to WIndows 7 and what a sheer bloody joy that is to use; everything just works and there's none of the hunting around for programs and all the crappy internal bloatware and 'apps' are gone. Control panel is where it should be and there's no duality of interface. Brilliant.
I use a Mac with El Capitan as my main machine and have a Windows 10 PC beside it for Access etc so am a positive embracer of modern operating systems, but now running Windows 7 beside Windows 10 makes you realise just how wrong, IMHO, Microsoft have gone of late.
Like the Pro Mouse, you can't go wrong with a design classic that just works.

My graphics tablet is breaking. I am worried for the future of my 365 :(
I can't edit with a fricking touchpad!! O_O

I remember when my younger sister and I used to draw together, probably aged 4 and 8. Whenever she went wrong, she'd want to start again with a new piece of paper, and I'd always say "don't start again, just turn it into something else".
So she would.
The same thing happened with this photo here. (And a ton more in this 365) It's not what I was planning on creating at all, but I managed to turn it into something else. Possibly something better.

It's looking like a limb torn off
Or altogether just taken apart
We're reeling through an endless fall
We are the ever-living ghost of what once was
But no one is ever gonna love you more than I do
No one's gonna love you more than I do
And anything to make you smile
It is my better side of you to admire
But they should never take so long
Just to be over then back to another one

Okay, I dropped my mouse so I decided to be a smart alleck and ripped the body open. Now the left click wouldn't function and me being me, cannot get by with the touchpad so I swapped the left click function onto the right clicker. So I had to process this with the handicapped mouse. My brain just couldn't adapt, I kept undoing my workflow. Confusing, or what? . Will re-edit once i purchase a new one tomorrow.

Ok so this was my 1st time drawing hair. I suppose I could do better if I was using an actual mouse or tablet rather than the touchpad on my laptop lol...I don't get it but like ppl I meet in sl seem to think it's strange that I do everything (even building) with the touchpad lol. I can't help that I learned everything in sl on a laptop with no actual mouse lol. I feel like it would be weird the other way haha.

I wanted to do something like this last week for the obvious valentine's day effect, but I was otherwise busy on set, so I just had to wait until this week! I have another image from this shoot I'll probably upload soon, I just haven't had a chance to edit it. my mouse kind of died, so I'm stuck with the touchpad on my laptop. WORST.
yes, I love red.
I wish the cinnamon hearts I bought came in a slightly larger size...
