The University of Tsukuba, Japan is the star of the 2011 Campus Exhibition. This institution of higher education has long been associated with the festival, and numerous works developed there or created by its alumni have been showcased at Ars Electronica.
"Talk Torque-2" is a work by Hideaki Kuzuoka (JP), Hiroshi Kasai (JP), Ikkaku Kawaguchi (JP) and Toshimasa Yamanaka (JP).

Bristol 171 Sycamore Mk3 (WA577). The Bristol Type 171 Sycamore was the first British-designed helicopter to fly and serve with the Royal Air Force. Created by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, it was used for search and rescue and anti-submarine warfare. First flight was 27 July 1947 and was introduced in 1953. It was produced until 1955 where 180 aircraft had been built. The Mk 3A was a civilian version with additional freight hold and built for British European Airways.
The 36mm wrench flats on this bottom bracket cup were finished and altogether, it took me about the same to to get this cup out as it did to disassemble the whole tandem. Finally got it by using a vice grip on the wrench flats and using a long bar of aluminum round stock as a cheat to torque that guy outta there.
The background "music" is from a Bell Labs technology showcase programmed by John L. Kelly in 1962. This is an early (maybe the first?) example of computer speech synthesis. It was created on an IBM 704 computer mainframe.
