Bristol 171 Sycamore Mk3 (WA577). The Bristol Type 171 Sycamore was the first British-designed helicopter to fly and serve with the Royal Air Force. Created by the Bristol Aeroplane Company, it was used for search and rescue and anti-submarine warfare. First flight was 27 July 1947 and was introduced in 1953. It was produced until 1955 where 180 aircraft had been built. The Mk 3A was a civilian version with additional freight hold and built for British European Airways.
Artists from all over the world contributed to the art show. Jimmy Flinstone Studios was responsible for getting the helmets fabricated - Thanks Jimmy!
While at Target today, I slipped on a patch of ice. I fell to the asphalt, scraping my right knee, and torquing my left foot. I can walk, put pressure on it, so I didn't break it, but it hurts somewhat. Probably just a strain/sprain. Haven't taken any Advil in 8 hours, though, so the pain's not that bad.
