This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again [ ♩ ]
I’m going to try to keep this short.
I started my 365, the day after I returned from a summer traveling through Spain, Greece and Turkey. During my 365, I took photos in : Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Trinidad and Tobago. In only a couple of weeks I will take photos in : Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and California. Needless to say, traveling is a big part of my life, and turned out to be a big part of my 365. My dream project would be “Around the World in 365 Days”. One Day :]
Last week I started thinking about other interesting things that I did this year, and came up with this, I :
-Photographed 6 weddings.
-Celebrated my 22nd birthday.
-Officially licensed my own photography business.
-Won three photo contests (trips to Vegas, and Vancouver, etc.)
-Finished my fourth year at University, and then decided to change my major completely.
I’m really glad that I started this project, as much as I hated it some days. I feel that my photos have really improved since Day 1. I finally followed through on something to the end!
Now I look forward to taking some time off, and just relaxing. But, I’m sure I can’t stay away for long. Next, I look forward to eventually deleting most of my 365 photos, like a big spring cleaning! And I'm glad that now I can only post the photos that I like, without the stress of posting daily.
Okay.. I’m starting to ramble..
So, of course, I would like to thank all of you on Flickr. Thank You for all of your comments and feedback. Thank You for all of your inspirations, and beautiful photos to keep me going. Thank You for everything.
This is The End.

Pebble beach...
In June this year we ventured out to Jack Darling Park and after a couple of hours shooting we took a break on one of the many benches that dot the walkway through this lovely park.
This a shot of the toronto skyline from pebble beach. .

Sometimes I don’t know how to do it. How to live happily in this world when so many troubling things happen and are happening. The war in Ukraine weighs on my mind. When I go for walks and visit places that I love, I think about how it could all be destroyed or taken away. I know that it’s not useful to have these types of thoughts, but I do have them, and they create a bittersweet feeling in me that persists.
It’s all fleeting. Everything is fleeting. I am reminded that gentleness and gratitude are essential qualities. People that lack these qualities are to be pitied and beyond comprehension to me.
Please take good care, and continue to do what you love: take photos, listen to music, dance, laugh, love… I wish you peace and happiness always.
Wind Sailing.
Yesterday we ventured out hoping for waves and long exposure shots of the lake.. the days forest called for heavy winds gusting to 50 kph. I grabbed the tripod, the ND filter and a few other items you would want for smoothing out wave action.
We arrived to find absolute calm and no need for tripods or ND filters... Lake Ontario was flat and calm.
A Sailboarder out in the lake was struggling to get wind in his sail to get moving, the Toronto skyline in the distance made his lack of movement even more evident.
I suppose he checked the weather network before he headed out today as well, expecting the winds were going to be awesome for sailboarding. Maybe the weather network should take a survey; how would he respond to the question.
"How would you rate the accuracy of our weather reports?"
1. Very satisfied,
2. Somewhat satisfied
3. Not satisfied.at all....

Fairmont Royal York 2..
..
Another shot from the archives...
Taken May 2019 on a trip to downtown Toronto i captured this image of the corner of the Royal York Hotel on Front street.
It is such a beautiful old building filled with history from a bygone era.. the stone work is impeccable and it has held up to many years of use since it was commissioned and built in 1927..

A Day At The Lake..
Yesterday was the perfect day for a stroll along the edge of lake Ontario, the water was relatively calm only a few waves the sun was bright and a few clouds hugged the horizon. .
In the distance a line of clouds hung over the city of Toronto.

Swan Lake.... ...
Just another windy day at Jack Darling Park. A strong north westerly wind blew a stream of intense waves upon the rocks of the Mississauga shoreline..
This white swan took shelter from the wind behind this breakwall. the city of Toronto and the Ridgetown shrouded by cloud are visible in the background..

Husky..
Wednesday was a frigid cold day, sub zero temperatures with strong winds made it feel even colder. We made our way to Jack Darling Memorial Park and spend a few hours braving the cold to get some shots.
the cloud filled sky was changing by the minute, the light was so unpredictable my meter was getting a workout. at times it looked like the a sudden storm would crack the sky and either snow or hail would soon be pelting us. Suddenly the dark clouds dissipated and light fluffy clouds with hints of blue sky appeared,
While setting up a shot of the skyline of the city this beautiful Husky wandered into my shot. I changed my focus and snapped this perfect shot of him before he returned to his masters side.

The days are getting shorter with each new sunrise coming later and later; the fall sky is a cool brilliant blue and clear of any clouds. The cityscape is encircled by the glow of the coming dawn and the sliver of the crescent moon is surrounded by Jupiter and Venus, which are still visible as the day breaks.

Skyline Panorama..
Mid February this year was a frigid cold day, sub zero temperatures with strong winds made it feel even colder.
Suddenly the dark clouds dissipated and light fluffy clouds with hints of blue sky appeared,
This is a shot of the Greater Toronto skyline... the city beautifully bathed in hazy mist that rose off of the frigid waters and turned everything a pale blue.
