The guy on the left cycles and runs with the torch the whole way - to keep the torch bearers on track and on time .... he is probably THE most photographed person (and the fittest!) in the whole Relay!!!

There was a wee bit of arson around Beaumont in 2007. Earlier that fall I found a torched Honda Civic near the golf course and later I ran across this tractor just west of town.

Friday 29th June 2012 and the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay happening reached Buxton. Fantastic crowds. Kind weather. Great torchbearers. Packed Pavilion Gardens.
Go-torch characters, Chissai Ossan, Sanasenabona, Koakkuma and Akkuma, participated in J-POP SUMMIT 2015! People enjoyed taking photos with them and seeing them on stage!

Olympic Torch Relay - Caversham. Some guy called Ian who has raised lots of money for Charities.
I'm pretty disappointed with these shots, The crowds made getting a decent angle nearly impossible, and using the 400D again made me realise how much easier the 7D is to handle
For two days, this weekend, PEI became Fire Island as it welcomed the
Olympic Torch...wait.
I waited outside my apartment for about an hour trying to get my
camera setup just right. It was getting chilly and the crowd was thin
at best. My enthusiasm was already low when the Coca-Cola truck went
by and then the RBC Float. But then group of people dressed in white
jump suits turned the corner and slowly walked up to province house.
It took everyone a few moments to realize it was the torch and then
everyone started to crowd around it as the torch bearers posed for
pictures. Then they continued down great george street to a crappy
party. All the signs pointed to it being a very underwhelming
event, and for the most part it was, but the torch itself and the
enthusiasm of the people who carried it really made the whole thing a
really cool experience.
