The Venice Carnival is now world famous - it always takes place during the ten days leading up to Shrove Tuesday. Carnival, being a pre-Lent festival, means 'farewell to meat' and is celebrated throughout Italy.
It was first held in Venice in the 11th century and consisted of over two months of revelry, until it fell into decline during the 18th century. It was revived in 1979 with great success and nowadays it is a great excuse to don a mask and costume, parade around the city, enjoy the live music in the main squares of the city, the events organised by the tourist board and is a wonderful open-air festival where everyone can join in. Fantastic costumes are displayed in St Mark's Square and Venice is the perfect back-drop for amazing photographs.
Carnival in the 18th century began with a series of balls in St Mark's Square, as can be seen on the fresco on the walls of the famous café Quadri's. Fortunes were squandered every night of Carnival in the Ridotto Gambling casino, whatever the social status all the people wore costumes and masks, many connected to the Commedie del'Arte, Harlequin, Columbine, the Plague Doctor and of course the courtesans.
Even if you don't wish to put on a costume, face-painting is offered in the various streets, various hats are on sale, and of course you have to taste the 'frittelle' - type of doughnut, which are only made over the Carnival period!!!!
La Bellezza Necessaria/De essentie van schoonheid
Giulia 952-serie is ontwikkeld als het Quadrifoglio-topmodel (> € 110K) en van daar uit zijn de Veloce (€ 55K) en Super (€ 42,5K) uitvoeringen ontstaan. Het resultaat is dat elke Giulia (vanaf € 41K) weet vast te houden aan de ideale 50/50 gewichtsverdeling voor een ijzersterke wegligging. Alle uitvoeringen hebben de accu in de kofferruimte. Tot april dit jaar was deze versie echter niet leverbaar. Bij Ferrari kun je tailor-made dit soort aanpassingen laten doorvoeren. Echter Alfa Romeo komt mij als liefhebber van meer sportieve Alfa's, nu tegemoet met het pack Super Veloce (premiere autosalon van Geneve, maart 2017). Alfa heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de Veloce uitvoering, nu voor een groot publiek bereikbaar wordt. Fully loaded wordt een achterwiel aangedreven Super 2.0 AT8 (200pk) nu tijdelijk aangeboden in RWD Super Veloce uitvoering voor € 48.550,- (INCLUSIEF 8.8" NAV, 19" Quadrifoglio velgen, Brembo rosso remklauwen OPTIONS en Upgrade Climate Pack). Een vergelijkbaar uitgeruste AWD Veloce heeft een € 10.491,- hogere prijs, een 101kg hoger gewicht en een 14mm hoger zwaartepunt a.g.v de verhoogde bodemvrijheid. Het rijgedrag van de RWD Super Veloce is hierdoor nog flexibeler en garandeert een nog hoger rijplezier.

So a couple of days ago, while my boyfriend was @ Kmart, I thought I'd asked him to see if they had any Top Model Barbies in stock. He had no clue what they looked like, so he asked the toy lady who worked there and she directed him to where they were.
He told me they had all three, so then I took a trip to K-mart the day after and snapped up all three! I originally just planned on getting them for their clothes, but I just might keep them as they are :o)

Quando vai chegando o verão, é quase automático: as peças mais vibrantes que temos no armário começam a dominar o visual, das peças de roupas aos acessórios.
