This weekend is Rooster Days in Broken Arrow. I thought this rooster weather vane would be a great way to do the Flickr Friday Top theme and Rooster Days!
During our road trip last month, we stopped for an afternoon at EAA Airventure Oshkosh, an annual weeklong air show held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

E' molto difficile fare foto a dei topi che appena sentono il minimo rumore scappano subito e ogni volta che mi presento con un 100 o 135 mm non ci sono mai, la rete verde del pollaio poi non aiuta la messa a fuoco...Ora esco con il cane !
Circus tent design has improved over the years. Setting up a Big Top is still a massive operation however.
It was a long hiking to the top of Hochkönig. We went on the Königsjodler klettersteig. It's one of the longest viaferrata in Europe, it takes about 10 hours if you don't hurry.
Teazel (& obligatory ball) on Simonside on a bit of a gloomy day a couple of months ago.
It was glorious up there today.

A hiker stands on an knob of gneiss just north of the parking lot at Beartooth Pass in Shoshone National Forest, Wyoming. The lighter rock is granodiorite that intruded into the gneiss. The hiker at the top of the knob stands at about 11,000 feet above sea level. The rocks exposed here are part of an Archean metamorphic-igneous complex and are between 3.6 and 2.7 billion years ago. These rocks represent a time when Wyoming was a separate microcontinent called the Wyoming Craton which existed 500 million years before the North American Continent formed.

Dieselbe Mauer auf dem Burgberg (voriges Foto), der so viele Attraktionen in sich birgt, wie die Tropfsteinhöhle und auch die alte Schiffswerft im Berg, die man restauriert hat.
Piraten nisteten sich hier ein und horteten ihre Schätze, so daß römische Truppen eingreifen mußten.
Dabei wurde der junge Cäsar gefangen genommen.
Es rollten viele Köpfe, da man zu wenig Lösegeld für seine Freilassung verlangt hatte.
Letztendlich wurde der Burgberg mit einer List der Seldschuken erobert und die Piraten ergaben sich.
Ein Denkmal des erfolgreichen Seldschukenführers steht am Ortseingang von Alanya.
Auch die Kreuzritterburg in Kap Anamur wurde von den Seldschuken erobert.
