Some of my niece's Halloween haul this evening. I was pretty amused by the toothbrush that someone was handing out along with candy. The toothbrush was imprinted with the name and phone number of a local dentist. :-)
I spotted this fella (Vapourer Moth Caterpillar - Orgyia antiqua) scaling a wall on our evening walk route! These caterpillars always amaze me - they are so wierd - I call them toothbrush caterpillars - I'll let you work out why! This one even has a gorgeous yellow fringe!

This is baby Joshua's little toothbrush, albeit, he only has a couple just about breaking through his little gums - but he's going to need this soon!!

I've often been asked why the toothbrush leatherjacket is named as it is. Most of the time it's hard to see why - unless you find a mature male. Then you can see the "bristles" along the caudal peduncle, like in this shot. Fairy Bower
The Toothbrush Grabber
The Toothbrush Grabber is an inspiration from when I was always fooling around, making faces while I am brushing my teeth.
This photo was a challenge for me because The "me" coming out from the mirror grabbing the toothbrush was shot on a different part of the apartment, specifically on the window, where the white curtain is. Since I don't have a studio, the white curtain will do so that I will have a white background and it would be easier for me to erase it.
