An add in Fast Company Ragazine- it is from the paper industry and suggest we have much to fear from digital technologies because it makes students use txt speech in "academic writing"
(1) If a student writes a brilliant, moving, well thought essay, but includes a "L8R" in context, then we throw it all out.
(2) It also devalues the role of teachers as writing coaches and mentors, it says they have no power over evil technology.
(3) All civilization will be saved if we only use text references, disregarding how many false, evil, and misleading content is out there in print.
