São Miguel dos Milagres is a municipality in the state of Alagoas. Its estimated population in 2004 was 6,354 inhabitants.
His name was before, Parish of Our Lady Mother of the People. It changed its name, according to tradition, after a fisherman found the beach a piece of wood covered with mosses and seaweed. To take it home and do your cleaning, she discovered that it was an image of St. Michael the Archangel probably fallen in some vessel. When you finish the cleaning work, the fisherman discovered amazed that a persistent wound that afflicted him for days was totally healed.
The news soon spread, causing appeared people seeking cures for their diseases and new miracles. Colonization took shape during the period of Dutch invasion when residents suffered Porto Calvo fled in search of a safe place to house their families and where they could sight in advance the arrival of the Batavians enemies. The original chapel, which gave rise to the parish established by the Catholic Church was dedicated to Our Lady Mother of the People.
Its history is linked by proximity to the Porto de Pedras and Porto Calvo, former St. Anthony of the Four Rivers, or even Bom Sucesso. Dispute with Porto de Pedras the primacy of being the seat of the Engenho Mata Redonda, where there was the famous battle of the same name fought between the Dutch army and the Luso-Spanish forces and won by General Artikchof. the complaint, since the current municipalities were not formed were inaccurate and limits is understandable. For a long time, the Democratic Engenho was featured in sugar production in the region. Also, the town was the leading producer of coconuts, when still belonged to Porto de Pedras.
It was elevated to the village on June 9, 1864, and from 1941, a group of residents, among them Augusto de Barros Falcão, José Braga, Adherbal Costa Raposo and John Moraes came claiming emancipation of Porto de Pedras municipality. Political emancipation began on June 6, 1960. And by Law 2239 of 07 June 1960, São Miguel dos Milagres is emancipated, by separating from Porto de Pedras.

Day 70 of 2015. I recently created a new visioning toolkit as part of my DIY Strategy / Culture kit created in partnership with Duende and many contributors. Today, I watched it in use for the very first time, thanks to my friend, Sara. I got great feedback and am planning some significant adjustments. I love rapid prototyping!

I picked up a camera for the first time in 2014 and am still very new to all the equipment, editing software and terminology. With work/life balance introduced in my life I starting noticing what what going on around me in Chicago the city I was born and raised in. My love is showing people in the Chicago urban landscape leveraging light, reflections and shadows.
The #iPhone 6s is my go to during the day for street situations especially on public transportation, the #Sony #a5000 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens for night. The #Canon 70D comes out for professional situations which surprisedly has become more frequent (finally learned what ISO and aperture is).
I have no idea how to use Photoshop so #Snapseed, #Filterstorm and iPhone/IG are my editing tools all on my iPad while on the elliptical at the gym. Nothing is staged, shooting what I see when I am not working and I keep my personal life out except for an occasional shot of Sunshine (cat).
Also with shooting street, being unobtrusive is essential so I dress cute/upscale to get me into anywhere, always with sunglasses so my focus can not be tracked and headphones to limit conversations.
I bought the white #vipertoolstorage specially for my camera equipment and it organizes all the necessary tools and keeps them charged.

Because an eco-design toolkit could have a wider impact than an eco-design product, Brazilian designer Luiz Moreira created Apekatu, a toolkit to inspire the development of products that are better adaptable to specific needs and environments. The whole kit is biodegradable and printed using water-based inks.It consists of a strategy wheel with three areas -Human, Artificial and Natural- a website and a set of cards with example that come in a box made from Sundeala, a recycled newspaper new material being produced in the UK.
Kouta Minamizawa (JP), Yasuaki Kakehi (JP), Masashi Nakatani (JP), Soichiro Mihara (JP) and Susumu Tachi (JP) have been working for a considerable time now on the development of haptic interfaces and technology to thereby add a third medium – in addition to audio and video – to the creative repertoire available to digital art and design. To precisely describe what they’re after, Kakehi & Co. have coined the term “techtile,” a portmanteau word that combines “technology” and “tactile.”

Shot for work at IT Mill, showing the IT Mill Toolkit running on a phone. It's not a montage - we wanted it to be the real thing.
Strobist info:
DIY $10 Macro Photo Studio (yes, got some funny looks and comments - not after they saw the results though ;-) One Nikon SB-28 on each side, shutter dragged to expose the screen properly.
There is some moire going on from this angle - I wonder if a polarizer would minimize that? I assume the pros remove the moire -prone material, but we couldn't really do that to Tiinas phone... ;-)
For the IT Mill photogs group.
The first time the word “toolkit” became a subject of controversy in India’s public discourse was in February this year. The farmer’s protest against the government’s decision to introduce three new farm laws was raging; and the social media was abuzz about a ‘toolkit’ on farmer protests, which was shared by the 18-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Someone who does general home repairs for a living has to carry a whole bunch of tools, because "you never know what next" So, the "toolbox" is sometimes the bed of his pickup. And of course, the level of "housekeeping" varies a lot from person to person.
What about when it rains, you say? Right, a cover would be prudent. But Tommy is normally more involved in drumming up business, making estimates and supervising his crew, as opposed to actual hands-on work. So, he doesn't carry the tool outfit on all occasions.
