Engraved on this pendant is my nephew's full name, as well as his birthdate, and his size when he was born. My sister wears it every day. Beautiful momento.
I had some extra time before Rob got out of work one Saturday so I went to the Transit Museum nearby to kill some time. Turned out to be a fun little trip. Highly recommended for families with kids who love trains.
I think I still have some tokens somewhere for these slots.

Duane and I visited Ground Zero in April 2002. There were many makeshift alters of remembrance...this was just one of many.
Today is the 10 year anniversary of this horrible, horrible day. I remember having flown in from New Orleans the night before at 10pm. The next day, the world had changed.
Duane and I revisited last week during this 10th year anniversary time and visited St. Paul's Chapel, a beacon of hope in the destruction.

Taken in the 1990's. The signalman hands over the single line token to the Fireman onboard a (92203?) 9F as a Bury - Rawtenstall train leaves Ramsbottom. This shot was taken using Ilford HP5+ exposed at 160 asa and so it was overexposed and then underdeveloped which has reduced both grain and contrast. There is detail in the lightest and darkest areas of the print, in the signaman's white hair and in the locomotives motion below the running plate. This is a straight print with no dodging in or holding back on the darkroom exposure. Espanola Island had a lot of large bird life including Waved Albatross and Boobies. There was an amount of mating behaviour going on. This Nazca Booby was making a seemingly token effort with the nest building. Espanola Island, Galapagos.
The High Commissioner handed over a token of appreciation from the British High Commission to the principal of the Ratmalana School. The School had requested for UPS's for their computers.
