Marchmont street foundling tokens
They are actually accurate representations of tokens from the nearby Foundling Museum - The museum remembers for posterity the Foundling Hospital, set up in the mid 18th century as a home for unwanted babies who were then raised and educated by the institution. Some of these children were left a token by their mothers as a remembrance which – sadly – they were never given.

OBITUARY
MRS. ANN WISEMAN.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at Waikumete Cemetery, of Mrs. Ann Wiseman, wife of Mr. George Wiseman. The Rev. Seaton officiated, and among the large number of wreaths were tokens from Messrs. R. and W. Hellaby, employees of the firm, and Masonic institutions. Deceased was very highly esteemed by her many friends and was an active member of St. Luke's Church, Morningside, for several years. She was born in Papanui, Christchurch, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hewitt, who came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Cressy, one of the first four immigrant ships to reach Lyttelton. Mr. Hewitt was a carpenter and assisted in the erection of the first dwelling in Lyttelton. Mrs. Wiseman married her husband, by whom she is survived, in Christchurch on June 21, 1875, and the pair celebrated their golden wedding at Otahuhu in June of last year, the ceremony being performed by Canon Mason, now of Howick, and being attended by the family and grand-children, numbering 43. Mrs. Wiseman leaves a family of seven daughters and four sons, as follows: Mr. William Wiseman (Teparoa), Mrs. Frank Cox (Huntly), Mrs. Whellan (Wanganui), Mrs. Frank Herbert (Franklin), Mrs. D. Mclntyre (Tehana,) Mr. C. Wiseman (Takapuna), Mrs. H. Smith (Morningside), Mr. R. Wiseman and Miss Vera Wiseman, of Howies, Auckland, Mrs. W. Pea (Otahuhu), and Mr. J. Wiseman (Frankton Junction). Mr. Wiseman was for 43 years manager of R. and W. Hellaby's preserving department.
