I thought it was interesting that the Major Magic's tokens say "for use only at Major Magic's" and yet they have so many other tokens from other places. I used to live in Northville, MI.
After all the jewelry the Purple Mage was obliged to wear as status markers, this little token of devotion is that much more precious to Nightowl.

The seldom seen (certainly from a passenger service) Great Rocks signal box. The box controls access to the single line to Buxton and works to Peak Forest on the other side. Seen from the East Lancs Firebrand on Friday 30th September 2016.
The token for the single line from Buxton (just surrendered by the driver of the rail-tour) can be seen in the possession of the signalman.
After driving all day in the pouring rain (and driving snow) from Fort Madison, Iowa to Fremont, Nebraska to get out of the crap weather, I was rewarded with a grubby Union Pacific GE in DPU mode in drop-under sunset light. Well worth the time, eh?
At the amusement fair you often get tokens in plastic to prove you are allowed on an attraction. We make can make them in all colors and shapes!
"Indian head cent style store card Civil War token. Obverse: Ann Arbor. Reverse: Philip Bach - Dry Goods - 1863. This exact token is on page 79 of The Official Red Book - A Guide Book of U.S. Tokens and Medals by Jaeger. It is number MI-40A2do. This token has the exact mint error as the one shown. On the obverse, the rim shows a die break at the 8 to 10:00 position. This one has a perfect air patina from old age and it shows no wear." -- From an eBay listing.
A small Jewish flag placed in a railroad tie at the Birkenau (Auschwitz II) concentration camp near Kracow, Poland. These are that tracks that brought close to 1 million Jews, Poles, Gypsies, Hungarians and others to internment in the camp and to their eventual deaths in the gas chambers. A Jewish student apparently left this token behind after a recent visit with classmates.

The signalman is holding up the pouch containing the token for the next section ahead and the fireman is holding out the pouch containing the token for the section that we are just leaving.
A first generation diesel multiple unit bound for Wymondham is waiting for our Dereham bound train to clear the single line section.

Obverse.
The identity of the man for whom the W counterstamp was applied may have been James Welch, an overseer of the workhouse. Here's a piece of scrip in the same denomination as the token above, intended as a sample and signed by Mr. Welch. None was ever issued and perhaps only three sets were printed. Such scrip might have been used after Conder Tokens were made illegal to pass, after 1797 or so. The most complete group of the scrip is in the Birmingham Museum.

"For the first five years after the bombing, a simple chain link fence surrounded the Murrah Building site, and from the earliest hours of the rescue and recovery operations, visitors posted messages and personal items on the fence. It became such a tradition to “visit the fence” in Oklahoma City that sections of the original fence were incorporated in the permanent Memorial, and guests still leave their convention nametags or hastily scrawled notes of hope there."

Class 40 no 40106 Atlantic Conveyor rounds the very tight curve into Bury Bolton Street on a sunny spring morning. Note the small wisp of steam from the heating escaping from the leading coach - this wasn't required very long on a warm day!

Please be aware... I am no coin expert. Titles here are either what I was told when acquiring these or are from a simple Google search. I make no claim as to them being 100% accurate but I make an effort to be as factual as I am able when posting. There may well be some duplication of coin type or variety, but I try not to double post any single coins. My feeble brain may slip on that from time to time. These are all from my semi worthless collection of world coins from over the years. Little to no value exists in most (if not all) of them. They are just a hobby.
