Honopu Ridge Trail up in Waimea Canyon. FABULOUS views! Difficult hike. Not any rock climbing but definitely red dirt hill scaling. This is overlooking the Na Pali coast amd Kalalau beach.

Yesterday I made photos for my new project "Rozenburg tile tableaus". I visited the office of the former The Hague gasworks. This beautiful old stork tile caught my attention. It was hanging on the wall. Waiting for me !!
Earlier in the evening I saw the sun blazing bright pinky-orange among the clouds, but unfortunately when we got home the sun was already below the horizon. This picture looks markedly different from the actual sunset I saw at this vantage point, but I like the dramatic lighting in the picture anyway.

It was B's eighth birthday today, she has had such a great day.
She had us up at 7.45am to open presents, she didnt have alot to open as we got her some fish and a fish tank last week, she also has tickets to see Jessie J in a couple of weeks. She opened her presents, one of which was a recorder (already regretting that present, lol), then it was time for breakfast. Ofcourse cereal or toast wouldnt do, so pancakes it was.
We had a few visits from family members before heading off to Jump (soft play) for her party.
There was lots of running around, shouting, excitment, dancing, and laughter. All the children had a great time, B said it was the best birthday EVER which is all that counts.
Afterwards it was off to nannies for a small get together with family. I had made her cake, which is becoming a tradition in our family, she asked for a carrot cake so that is what I made for her, the cake went down very well, infact theres no more left.
I really cant believe my baby is 8 now, the time has gone ridiculousy fast. It only seems like yesterday that we found a trail of biscuit wrappers leading into the lounge to be faced with a 14 month old B munching on our unopened christmas biscuits.
