Found on an oak branch that also was covered in Star Rosette Lichen!

Found just above my creek on a damp north facing hillside.

It's the little things close to the ground that matter ...

The forest floor shines with beauty so many do not see.

The woodland floor, still gives some nice delights.

Tiny things... Collecting tiny things... Collecting every single color of tiny things.......... Add in a little game of chance, and voila! Quarter machines!!

So, if you're looking to go incognito, heading to the movie theater at 9:30 on a Friday night ain't gonna get it for you. There were lots of whispering and pointing teenagers. But one girl said (either to me or her friends, I'm not sure which), "Hey, that's kind of cool!" I count that as positive interaction. :o)

 

Now I smell like burnt popcorn..... Ugh.....

Lichen spores? Can you find the spots of red?

I don't know enough to properly ID them since there are so many variations of this Lichen.

Caught a bee just as it was about to alight upon a sunflower. Bees move quick!

 

I use to think that Autumn was the only time for fungi, but finding this tiny one growing from a crack in a bit of dark, sure does brighten a winter day.

In Fairy Patch everything grows very fast with the help of a little bit of Fairy Dust and Fairy Love!!

 

This Shed is 22 inches tall.From the tip of the bottom to the top of the birds head, who is sitting in the nest on top.

The top of the shed is 14.5 inches around

and the stem is 4 inches around.

The stick at the top is 11 inches long.
