Photos from the Hardy Half Marathon 2024, held on May 12th 2024, starting at Dorchester Rugby Club, running through the beautiful south & west Dorset countryside and ending back at the rugby club where there was music, cakes, ie cream, beer, pizza, crepes and sweets, plus face painting.The event was organised by Dorchester RIOT, Dorchester Rotary, Dorchester Lions and Dorchester Rugby Club. It was sponsored by National Grid, Parkers Property Consultants,NFU Mutual Dorchester and DBC Jurassic Brewhouse. Music was supplied by Ansell & Gretel, the Dorset Wrecks and a bag piper. Timing was by Timing Monkey. The event was run in aid of Dorset Search & Rescue (DorSAR).

Ok, as you can see the black car, which was an undercover cop, with the grill strobes , is in the wrong lane.It was flying down the hill and cars started to scatter to make way. Not enough way on the appropriate side. So it shot into the left hand lane, just in time to avoid the median.The camera was off, but I had that gap there and about ten seconds if that. I clicked it on, said screw the right setting and clicked while it was before the gold car, and everything synched. Now, had it been sasquatch, or and alien, this would be something. :) I can train myself on errant police cars.
