My daughter gets our timeshare in Hawaii and I get to “catsit”” her loving and sweet kitty. A fair trade? Hmmm. I’ll have to think about that one for a while !!

It's hard to tell how they know when to give up their perch to an incoming bird and when to hold their ground.

Somewhere, Northern Denmark

It was a rainy, dismal day for the main event at the 2004 Heineken Regatta. From our timeshare at Divi Little Bay, we took the short walk up the hill to Fort Amsterdam to watch the race. The turn-around buoy was right here, so we had a great view of the mid-point action.

A sunset photo taken on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten. Photographed from the 2nd floor balcony of our timeshare on Little Bay Beach looking southwest towards Cay Hill. It’s from deep in my old archived photos and taken two decades ago, but every Caribbean sunset is amazing and worth seeing again.

Timing is everything.

Just driving home and thought I'd stop at the park to see if there was anything interesting to snap.

Look what I found.

Did you see it on Tuesday night ( June 18th) over Lake Ontario.

I would love to see your photo if you were lucky enough to see this beautiful sight.

A typical morning view from the balcony of our timeshare in St. Maarten. I just bought plane tickets for March, so I'm ready to go. lol

On the other hand, the 1st of March is great time to go. You've typically had enough of winter and when you get back- it's almost over.

Another frame from this spot that I liked with a bit more telephoto view.

I don't shoot the west end of the old Boston and Albany very often given how far from home it is and my inability to get out to it early enough to catch the typical morning parade. But since I was spending a couple nights with my Dad at his timeshare in Lenox I was closed enough to get up early and try for something this day. Alas I022 and M436 were way early this particular morning so they were out of the picture leaving me only this one train to work with.

This was the next spot on my chase and another location I've always meant to shoot but again never bothered to figure out how to. I think there are better angles than this to be found here, but nonetheless I do like this and will make a point to try it again. CSXT 3315 and 560 lead M264 (Buffalo to East Brookfield unit auto racks) across this unnamed pond along Flat Brook at about MP 164.3 on modern day CSXT's Berkshire Sub mainline. This is just east of State Line Tunnel and just west of the NY Route 22 overpass that has long been a popular photo location.

The view from my brother's timeshare in Pompano!

Happy Window Wednesday!

Once again on Thursday, June 7, 2007, we lounged around the timeshare, enjoying the sun on the patio. Then Carl and I took a cab to MGM and ate lunch at Wolfgang Puck's. We crossed the strip (overhead bridge) to the Tropicana and viewed the "Bodies" Exhibit. We quickly returned to the resort by cab and changed clothes. Carl and I took a cab to the Mirage and attended the show, "Love - The Beatles" by Cirque du Soleil . Afterwards we took a tram next door to TI (Treasure Island) where we had a quick supper and enjoyed an interesting show at Kahunaville and did some late night shopping knowing that we would be leaving in the morning.

The good thing about those timeshare presentation scheme things (you know, the ones where they invite you to a presentation to try to sell you timeshare - Accor and TrendWest and the like) is that you can get some free accommodation as a thank-you for attending the presentation.

That's how I got 3 nights free at the 4.5 star The Lakes Cairns Resort and Spa. It was swank, certainly by my standards - I'm normally happy with basic accommodation as long as it's clean and I have my own private room and bathroom.

Just messing with Photoshop as I got this crazy idea from a Fashion Workshop I attended. As they said in the shoot, you don't have to see the models face in the image to sell the product so I thought I would try to test that advice in my own version of an AXE ad.

Historic old abbey now a timeshare resort. First built in 1356. Part of it was gutted after a fire. And was rebuilt approx 1850 in a more Victorian gothic style. You can see the difference in the older stone on the left and the 'newer' gothic style

In late September, Joni and the wife traveled to a timeshare resort which they traded into located in the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania to attend my wife's niece's wedding later in the week. The trip to the Poconos was as much a business trip as it was a vacation, as Joni and the wife had several appointments and events to attend in New Jersey and NYC during the week leading up to the Friday afternoon wedding. Additionally, Joni and the wife would be joined later in the week by their two sons and daughter in law and a couple of their grandchildren. Nevertheless, Joni and the wife were able to squeeze in a one night trip to the Mount Airy Casino. It was the only opportunity that Joni had to get dressed during an otherwise hectic week, so she donned her leather skirt and pulled on a pair of boots to make the most of it.

Since posting my previous shot of the Ozarks, several have asked about the fall colors. It was just past the peak when we arrived, but there was still plenty of color abounding in spots.

This was our view from the porch of a timeshare at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Our condominum, #169 at "The Pines at the Treetops," was part of the Villiage of the Four Seasons, located in the beautiful Horseshoe Bend area. The resort seemed to have made every effort over the years to not disturb the growth of trees, but this high vantage point still provided a nice view (part of which can be seen here). This is obviously a daytime shot... I also took many night-time shots around the lake area.

The Lake of the Ozarks, created in 1931 when the Osage River was dammed, has over 1,150 miles of shoreline and is a favorite resort destination in the Midwest part of the United States.
