Hello! Hope you're all well. It's been a couple of months since my last post, with the last throes of my degree course taking up most my spare time and annual leave. Hopefully I'll have chance to start getting out and about with my camera again after my exams in a coupel of weeks (just in time for the worst time of year for cathcing sunrises!).
In the meantime here are a few more from my last outing back in february - a pleasingly misty morning in the Peak District.

Medieval re-enactment group at Abbey medieval festival dressed as Polish medieval soldiers.
These are the horse mounted soldiers uniforms that were used in part of the largest known cavalry charge in history.
The cavalry charge was to relieve the heroic second siege of Vienna from the invading Ottoman empire wanting to invade Europe.
This battle ultimately became critical for ensuring the survival of the Christian European ethos as it now stands after three hundred years of war with the Ottoman empire.
The thing that strikes you at this festival is the beauty and or potentially fatal attraction of the military attire of these times.
Most medieval folk wore simple clothes with modest colors often enforced by Papal decree while living a short and brutal existence.

The Caldaccoli Aqueduct was an ancient Roman aqueduct dating to the 1st century. It carried water from the thermal springs at the resort of Caldaccoli, then known as the calidae acquae, (literally, hot waters), near the present-day San Giuliano Terme, to the Roman baths at Pisa, Italy.
It creates a nice frame for the Santa Maria Madre della Chiesa e Santa Marta, Pisa, Italia.
Design (1975): Gianni Cacciarini and Enzo Giannini.
