Between 2 Romanian cities

I started this timelapse one night when that Delta 4 heavy was supposed to launch from Vandenberg...but it didn't launch. I should have at least kept shooting a timelapse of the night sky.

REQUEST: who knows the name of the classical music?? We got it of an old tape, but don't know who or what it is. Thanks!

This is the third timelapse with Geørg. We shot a timelapse of an arriving train at the central station in Graz.

The result: Watch it here!

If you can't watch it let me know, and I'll use another codec

PS: wanna see part 2? It's over here!

MY first timelapse and video :)

Timelapse shot of the pretty clouds moving past the Empire State Building this morning.

Tried a couple of new things here - a) used a locking clamp to hold down the shutter with the camera in "continous" mode (which yields about 1-2 fps, it seems) and b) zoomed the little point-n-shoot all the way out to its longest focal length (I'm not a huge fan of P&S "telephoto" action).

All in all, I think it came out pretty well. Wish it wasn't so god damned windy, though.

My camera setup for making a timelapse film of the clouds.

Timelapse video of the Station Fire burning in the Acton area as seen from the west Antelope Valley. 1 frame was taken every 90 seconds for several hours to make this 32 second video. The winds picked up shortly after the sequence began, so there is not much to see unfortunately.

Aurora Timelapse -Derbyshire 10/05/2024

Initially just green Aurora (oxygen lower energy excitation) Barely visible to the naked eye but something was clearly there and becoming more visible... but then flairs up starting about 24 seconds into the time lapse.

Never expected to see such a display this far south with strong pink/red aurora (higher altitude highly excited oxygen) and some purples on some shots from nitrogen electron excitation... Much of these colours were pretty naked eye visible especially with the higher energies later on.

I am not sure Steve made an appearance on my shots but thought that would have been pretty cool as one of my selfies could have been Steve under Steve
