After reading Ramona & Beezus this summer with my eldest daughter, we all have laughed at the similarities my two girls share with the legendary Quimby girls.
My BigGirl is a level-headed, young adult in many ways already. She is a practical-minded big sister who lives in (fairly) constant frustration with her vivacious, larger than life little sister.
This was a shot I stole of my Beezus while they were both living in their short-term exile to the backyard. (No worries...it's Florida. I think it was in the 50s today.)
A badminton-themed cake for my inaanak, Gaby, as she celebrated her 9th birthday. i got the design from a very old sports-themed cake decorating book from my sister, Ditas. Originally it was a tennis court, which i turned into a badminton court for Gaby's cake. Thanks to Bessie for the badminton 101 crash course. haha. :p
