"Krampnitz Kaserne was a huge military complex, in Potsdam, created by the Germans during the rearmament period. It was used by the Nazis until the end of the Second World War. After the war it was used by Soviet troops until its abandonment in 1992."

"A 1960s legend, Drugstore Publicis was clad with neon swirls by architect Michele Saee following a renovation in 2004; a glass-and-steel café stretches out on to the pavement. On the ground floor there's a newsagent, pharmacy, bookshop and upmarket deli full of quality olive oils and elegant biscuits. The basement is a macho take on Colette, keeping selected design items and lifestyle mags, and replacing high fashion with fine wines and a cigar cellar." TimeOut

Every few minutes we must stop our walk an stare into the woods, or just lay down and put our stomachs skyward. At least that's Scooter's directional behavior. And who would dare question their cat?

Time out day's are extremely good for my head.

Actually looking for productive things to do is much better than being pressured in to do them.

so apparently it's naughty of me to smoke... got sent to the corner

A cub in the tree. Sort of a bear version of "time out". Mom was sleeping at the bottom of the tree while the cubs slept and then bothered each other in the branches. From last week in Yellowstone. Too cute. I hope they can keep these guys safe and that the can make it to be adults.

Damn these up loader errors, but the old uploader gets there in the end

Pico del Teide is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands, (Spain). As you can see, the landscape is stunning. Such beautiful colors and we felt like time was just on pause. We could spend hours admiring the diversity of the landscape.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm sure I saw another street-tog fire off a few 'from the hip' shots as he walked past this chilled out woman. I always prefer to aim through the viewfinder for a shot though, enjoy!

i met this friendly thoughtful monk on a hot afternoon resting in the shade near Kratie in nothern Cambodia. At this stretch of the river is one of the last remaining populations of the critically endangered Irrawaddy dolphins; I wonder how they fare without the income from tourists, that sustain the people protecting them.

Just after i sat down an about 2m long snake slid out from underneath the concrete just in front of our feet and moved towards the river, where it disappeared under branches and grass. It was too fast to photograph, but i saw what appeared a distinctive triangular-shaped head, hence assume it was a viper.

His stillness did not change, i only noticed a brief flicker of a slightly wider smile. It was a strange afternoon in many ways, but full of remarkable memories.

Time seems to flow a different pace here still, along the mighty Mekong ☞ see more from my ongoing series 'Along the Mekong'.
