St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague, Czech Republic
(I found it quite challenging to pull out a shot of the full frontal view of the Cathedral because there was not enough distance to get the whole thing in; again, vertical stitching method was used to get this result; architectural detail is best seen at large size )
I can hardly believe it's August. The butterflies and birds are not the only things flying around here, time is flying as well. August is my birth month and it seems that I just had a birthday. Still, yet, it's only a few days away, what? 😲.
This is a beautiful gulf fritillary butterfly. I have not seen as many of these in the yard this year as I normally do. It is August so perhaps that will change soon. July and August are the peak months for butterfly season.

I recently rediscovered this beautiful old graveyard in Windsor, Ontario. As I wandered around on this sunny fall afternoon, I was thinking about these departed souls. As I begin my ‘golden years’, I’m reminded how quickly time goes and the need, even more then ever, to cherish every moment.

A great blue heron prepares to feed a juvenile child.
This Blue Heron picked a spot among a Wood Stork rookery - the only heron among the storks. The Great Blue is also the only bird I've witnessed stand up to a Wood Stork - couldn't have been easy raising this one in these surroundings.

The Kestrels I've been following for months now, are getting used to my presence, coming down really close. Giving me enough time to get low, and get some shots.

This one could feed us all..;) It's at the entrance to a park in Port Aransas, Texas. The sky was a mess to clean up. My top tip of the day, when shooting at the coast keep cleaning your lens..:) I hope I remember the next time I'm down there.
