Mead Road Bridge over the Maple River.
Located outside of Elsie, Michigan in rural Clinton County, this metal truss bridge built in 1907 has stood the test of time for over 100 years. This structure is in surprisingly fair condition for being closed and abandoned for what must now be decades. But abandoned and forgotten, like many other historic bridges around the state, time will continue to take its toll and decay and collapse are inevitable.

Sadly this lovely home was destroyed by a raging bushfire in September 2019. The fire also claimed the heritage listed Binna Burra Lodge which was adjacent to this property.
