*Don't think me ungracious at the prospect of two people in love getting married. Constitutional monarchy is not a system of government I'd chose, but I'm hardly an ardent republican: there's a solid majority of Brits who for whatever reason want to keep the monarchy and I don't see us getting a vote on the matter anytime soon. However, hysterical bursts of patriotism, flag waving and ecstatic crowds leave me cold. Sorry.
